This guide will show you where to acquire, how to finish, and what rewards you get for completing the Crooked Merchant Intel in Star Wars Outlaws.
Throughout Star Wars Outlaws, Kay Vess will discover pieces of Intel by listening in on conversations, reading data pads, or talking to people of interest. These minor quests are normally much shorter than Kay’s regular quests throughout the game. Some of them are one-and-done fetch quests, while others lead to full Intel chains with choices that affect Kay’s Reputation with various syndicates. The Crooked Merchant Intel is a very straightforward quest to complete.
Crooked Merchant
- Description: The merchant is stashing the loot in a building near the Pyke Syndicate district.
- Location: Pyke Syndicate District – Toshara
- Flavor Text: Some smugglers working for Gorak have been scammed by a merchant who’s running with Crimson Dawn.
How to Get the Crooked Merchant Intel
To get the Crooked Merchant Intel, you must first be in good standing with the Pyke Syndicate faction. You can increase your faction Reputation with the Pyke Syndicate by making decisions that benefit them during quest or Intel chains, completing contracts for them, or giving them Imperial Data. Once you are in good standing with the Pyke Syndicate, Kay can walk freely in the Pyke district in Mirogana on Toshara.
Near the Pyke Cardroom in their district, Kay will overhear two smugglers talking. Go to the table near them and use the Listen prompt to overhear them talking about a merchant stashing some loot close by. This will add the Intel to your Journal and give you a map marker to find it.
Crooked Merchant Intel Walkthrough & Rewards
After getting the Intel, you just need to go toward the map marker to advance the Crooked Merchant Intel quest. Once you go down the alley, you will notice a door (not the vent) with a lock that you will need to override.
Once the door is open, go down to the end of the hall and enter the room, the Intel will show resolved. This will unlock the Treasure Location Home Unit D26. You will find the following inside of the room:
- One piece of loose valuables, i.e. Orichalc Necklace.
- One piece of loose fabric, i.e. Courseweave.
- Home Unit D26 Treasure container containing 3 Chak-Root valuables worth 64 credits.
While not the most interesting or valuable rewards, the quest is quick and easy with no travel time, so it is worth doing for the quick credits you can get for selling the valuables. Try to sell the valuables to a merchant you are in good standing or better with to get the best price for them. Kay will overhear the smugglers talking about how the loot is gone if she returns to where she overheard them.
