The StreamElements Merch store was specifically impacted by this incident. Moreover, it is unknown if the content creators were also affected in addition to other Merch store users. The hack is large and wide-ranging because the compromised data includes personally identifiable information. It includes names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.
Although the precise technique of obtaining the information is unclear, it is speculated that the organized format in which the data was stored may have facilitated the attackers’ access to it. Identity theft, financial scams, and targeted phishing attacks against impacted individuals are possible outcomes of this data release.
StreamElements has not yet publicly acknowledged or denied the data breach or its scope. It has been reported that the breach happened on March 24, 2025. The affected clients were allegedly alerted by the acting party via email, with the sender identified as the “Diddy squad.”
