Learn the best ways to earn and spend gold in Supervive to maximize your team’s power and survival chances.
Every battle royale match in Supervive begins with hunters crashing onto the map in drop pods and leveling up as quickly as possible to be the last team standing. Gaining strength as a hunter requires a collection of items, including grips, kicks, armor, relics, and Powers. While they can be looted by battling monsters and finding chests, several important items and services can be bought using gold.
Gathering and spending gold serves as a benchmark for a team’s progression, reflecting their relative strength in the match. Therefore, collecting gold becomes an integral part of every Supervive run, and knowing the best ways to spend it even more so.
Sources of Gold in Supervive
1) Monsters
Most monsters in the game drop gold, with Chargers and Screamers sometimes dropping potions as well. Find an enemy camp and quickly defeat all the monsters, starting with a healer if any. The mini-boss monsters will have a purple ring around them while they charge up an attack. Use a damaging ability on the mini-boss at this time to stagger them.
2) Chests
All types of chests, ranging from Bonus Chests to Purple and Gold Chests, have a high chance of containing gold. However, you will need a Gold Key to open the rare Gold Chest.
3) Boss
Compared to regular monsters, all bosses yield a hefty gold reward upon defeat. This reward increases by 2,000 for every ally nearby.
4) Hunters
After defeating a hunter, double-tap the interact key on their Deathbox to loot all their gold and take relevant items. You lose 50% of your gold upon death.
5) Vaults
You can crack open vaults in Supervive by playing a QTE (Quick Time Event) minigame. The process is much faster if you have a teammate or two assisting you. Once the vault is opened, you can loot its contents, which include gold, armor, and Powers.
6) Money Tree Seeds
In Supervive, money does grow on trees with the Money Tree Seeds uncommon Power. They can be found in Vaults, bought from Basecamp shop rotations, and looted after defeating the Fallen Splendor Biome Leaders.
There are three charges in Money Tree Seeds, each one spawning a tree that periodically drops gold. The tree matures after three minutes and gains a golden glow, at which point, it drops 1,000 gold. Use Money Tree Seeds near the center of the map to make full use of them.
Best Uses of Gold in Supervive
Some of the best uses of gold are:
- Buying equipment at the Basecamp shop.
- Traveling merchants and Boat shops also sell all the items available at the Basecamp shop.
- Purchasing higher-tier armor and stocking up on Vive Brews wherever possible.
- Packing up a Basecamp for 800 gold is worth it. Place the Basecamp closer to the center and use it as a source of health recovery and items.
- Repairing destroyed Respawn Beacons for 5,000 gold. Do so only if you need to revive your teammates and their Deathboxes are out of reach.
