The ESO Dragonknight Tank is one of the most durable, great resource sustain, crowd control and insane self healing. You’ll want to pick this up if you want to do any type of tanking, including beginner or hardcore!

There are various skill options that can work for the Dragonknight Tank, so choose what works best for you and your play style
Bar One – Sword and Shield for taunts and debuffs
Unrelenting Grip (morph of Fiery Grip | Dragonknight/Ardent Flame skill line): pull mobs to you for quick aoe trash pulls
- [FLEX] Energy Orbs (morph of Necrotic Orb | Guild/Undaunted skill line): swap in orbs for healing and group sustain during tough boss fights
Pierce Armor (morph of Puncture | Weapon/One Hand & Shield skill line): single target taunt with massive armor debuff making DPS do more damage
Choking Talons (morph of Dark Talons | Draconic Power skill line): AoE CC, and damage reduction via minor maim
- [flex for trials/single target fights] Overlowing Altar (morph of Blood Altar | Guild/Undaunted skill line): minor lifesteal buff with powerful synergy for group play
Engulfing Flames (morph of Fiery Breath | Dragonknight/Ardent Flame skill line): AoE damage over time that makes them more susceptible to flames damage pairs with monster helm
Heroic Slash (morph of Low Slash | Weapon/One Hand & Shield skill line): single target debuff and boost to our ultimate generation
Magma Shell (morph of Magma Armor | Dragonknight/Earthen Heart skill line): insane survivability ultimate
Bar Two – Sword and Shield for Heals, buffs
Balance (morph of Equilibrium | Guild/Mages skill line): infinite magicka sustain with an armor buff that last a very long duration
Inner Rage (morph of Inner Fire | Guild/Undaunted skill line): ranged taunt that is magicka based with powerful synergy
- Frost Clench (morph of Destructive Touch | Weapon/Destruction Staff): great ranged taunt that also immobilizes target based on using frost staff.
Green Dragons Blood (morph of Dragon Blood | Dragonknight/Draconic Power skill line): good heal, sustain buff and increase healing received while active
Fragmented Shield (morph of Obsidian Shield | Earthen Heart skill line): shield with major mending cast before vigor
Echoing Vigor (morph of Vigor | Alliance War/Assault skill line): strong heal over time that procs out 5 piece gear set
Aggressive War Horn (morph of War Horn | Alliance War/Assault skill line): massive stat and damage increase to the group, rotate with other players

Encratis’s Behemoth (helm found in Black Drake Villa): flame attacks proc increased fire damage and decrease flame for entire team
- (1 item) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
- (2 items) Dealing Flame Damage to an enemy grants you Behemoth’s Aura for 12 seconds that reaches up to 12 meters. You and up to 11 group members in the aura reduce Flame Damage taken by 5%. Enemies in the aura increase their Flame Damage taken by 5%. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds.
- FLEX Engine Guardian for selfish sustain, Bloodspawn for more ultimate or Sentinel for group sustain.

Perfected Claw of Yolnahkriin: obtained in Veteran Sunspire or normal for lesser version.

Perfected Puncturing Remedy (found in Dragonstar Arena): healing and armor buff
- (2 items) Adds 3% Healing Taken, When you deal damage with Puncture, you heal for 2230 Health and gain Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance equal to the amount of healing or over Healing Done for 5 seconds. The healing scales off your Maximum Health.
