In this First Descendant guide, we will describe how to play the Enzo character, how to unlock him, and who would enjoy this class playstyle.

Should you play Enzo in The First Descendant?

Enzo is a character with an interesting support concept that centers around resupplying his comrades on the battlefield rather than in the more traditional healing role. Using his Arche, you can summon ammo supplies and even a supply ship as your ultimate. Moreover, because Enzo’s passive boosts the ammo capacity of teammates within a certain radius, you will have to make sure you stick with your group.

Who is Enzo? – Story

Logistics are the linchpin to any serious, strong war effort, and Enzo has made it his driving goal to master systematic supply flow. Cousin to Lepic, he blames himself for what happened to the 44th Grenadier Squad. During that incident, Quartermaster Enzo raced to the Squad with badly needed ammo supplies, but his Supply Squad was ambushed by the Vulgus, and all of the ammunition they were carrying was lost in an explosion.

At that moment, Enzo despaired of being able to save his cousin, on top of the anguish of losing his comrades. Suddenly, supplies around him appeared, which turned out to have been summoned from a faraway Albion ammunition depot. Not understanding his Arche had awakened, Enzo instinctively began to use the supplies to defeat the enemy.

It was too late when he made it to the 44th Grenadier Squad. They were all dead except for his cousin Lepic, who had lost his arm. Now, he dedicates himself even more fervently to the supply logistics that he knows will be key to winning the war.

How to Play Enzo – Character Gameplay

The best way to play Enzo is with allies, who grant them shields and ammunition. Enzo does not shy away from the thick of battle, channeling his innate passive to boost the supplies his teammates can carry and using his ability to pull more ammunition to their location. Playing as Enzo will require you to think strategically about the battle. Your placement, where your teammates are at any given moment, and where is the best location to call supplies to.

Enzo Skills and Combat Gameplay The First Descendant

Area Damage and Single-Target Damage: Enzo’s main damage ability is Explosive Drone, doing dimension damage (important for weapon selection). He launches a drone, doing AOE damage. Secondly, Enzo has the Perfect Support drop ship that launches a big missile at the end. Otherwise, you must rely on weapons for AoE and single-target damage.

Movement and Speed: Enzo has no skills to amplify his movement speed.

Bosses and Ultimates: Enzo will shine in boss battles, rotating healing and ammo drones. You want to keep high uptime on the shield drone to keep everyone’s survivability high while using the Explosive Drone for damage on the boss.

Defenses and Survival Tips: Your best survival tool is an enhanced combat suit, and you should use your drones as a distinction. You should drop the drones in place and move them around the area to receive extra shields.

How to Unlock Enzo in The First Descendant?

How to Unlock Lepic in The First Descendant

Unlocking Enzo will probably work very similarly to other characters in The First Descendant, where you must either purchase or research him from the store. If you want to buy the character with real money, he will likely cost 600 Caliber, the game’s premium currency. However, he should also be available to craft. We don’t know all the individual pieces that will make up the larger components, but we’ll add these details later.

To craft Enzo you will likely need:

  • Enzo Enhanced Cells
  • Enzo Stabilizer
  • Enzo Spiral Catalyst
  • Enzo Code

Enzo Passive and Active Skills

How to Play Enzo in The First Descendant - Character Gameplay

All characters in The First Descendant have one passive skill, three standard skills, and one ultimate skill. When you play as the Enzo character in the First Descendant, you will need to understand the basics of his class and available skills.

  • Passive skills: Passive buffs and bonuses are automatically applied or under certain conditions.
  • Active and Ultimate skills: These are activated by a player (effects on demand) and vary by character. Each character has unique skills to match their role and playstyle.

Passive Skill

Shoot Support – Grants Fire Support to allies within an area around Enzo, increasing their max ammo capacity. The efficiency of this effect increases marginally with the number of Enzos in the squad.

Efficiency increases when Enzo disarms the security of the Encrypted Vault, and rewards increase when this happens.

  • Usage – this passive makes Enzo a must-have character to bring to harder fights. With higher ammo, you gain more damage but need to be close to allies for them to receive the benefits.

Active Skills

Start Supply – Summons a Bullet Supplying Device at the designated location. Supplies bullets to allies that approach the Device. The Bullet Supplying Device can be used once by each ally, and disappears when everyone has used it or its duration ends.

  • Usage – The supply device will be helpful for allies when they need ammo.

Explosive Drone – Launches an Explosive Drone forward. The Explosive Drone explodes on contact with an enemy or a terrain object, dealing damage.

  • Usage – your main damage tool, both single target and AOE.

Enhance Combat Suit – Summons a Shield Recovery Comms. When the Shield Recovery Comms is first summoned, it recovers Enzo’s Energy Shield by a certain amount, then continues to recover the Energy Shield through the Enhance Combat Suit effect.

  • Usage – your main survivability tool with a high cooldown.

Ultimate Skill

Perfect Support – Summons a Small Supply Ship to himself and his allies. The Small Supply Ship periodically provides Supply Bullets and grants Perfect Support to allies. The Small Supply Ship attacks enemies in front while it is active, and when the skill ends, it fires a missile forward that causes a big explosion at its destination.

  • Usage – use this for a burn phase on a boss or when allies need support.
