The Harvester – ESO Stamina Templar Leveling Guide

Welcome to The Harvester – ESO Stamina Templar Leveling Guide.  Yes, I deleted a Veteran Rank 14 so I could start all over with a stamina Templar on Daggerfall Covenant faction.  This guide series will cover everything from level 1 to VR14 (16) with end game PvE and PvP builds.  Bookmark this sucker!

Objective

The idea behind this build, race and combination of skills is to create a high damage Stamplar (stamina Templar) capable of completing any dungeon, trial or DSA with high damage.  The Biting Harvester is PvE centric first but can do some serious jabbing in PvP.  I’ll have leveling builds complete with end game setup to help you throughout the leveling process and end game.  Here’s some general leveling tips to help you reach 10 asap (CLICK HERE).

Should you play this build?

+ Insane single target and AoE Damage

+ Good self heals even for stamina

– Lacks mobility

– One dimension until end game

Priority Skills

  • Aedric Spear – The mega ability for the Stamplar is Biting Jabs but once you get this continue to level the skill line for important passives.
  • Dawn’s Wrath – Power of the Light is the only ability we’re really after in this skill line, but Reflective Light is great early on until you get armor passives.
  • Restoring Light – We prioritize this skill line only until we get access to Repentance (unmorphed Radiant Aura).  This ability will change your life!
  • Bow – Leave the bow alone until Veteran Ranks.  However, if you’re having trouble the bows distance makes leveling easy mode.
  • Two-Handed – Obtaining Momentum than Rally is our number one focus for this leveling build.  Once we get that than we switch to Dual Wielding.
  • Dual Wield –  We want two abilities Steel Tornado for AoE and Quick Cloak for speed and later to proc Ravager gear then remaining skill points use towards passives.

Important Passives

Harvester Passives

  • Aedric Spear – BURNING LIGHT, this procing makings Biting Jabs the hardest hitter in Update 7 (please don’t nerf).  Then Balance Warrior for 5% more weapon power!
  • Dawn’s Wrath – This line isn’t too important for stamina but extra ultimate via Prism and lower cost via Restoring Spirit is worth maxing it early.
  • Restoring Light – The only worth while passive is Mending early on though I don’t put any points into this until Aedric Spear is maxed.
  • Bow – Leave until end game, it’ll matter.
  • Two-Handed – We’re not really using Two-Handed for damage but a major buff for weapon damage, so I only prioritize Balance Blade (2x).
  • Dual Wield – Eventually we’ll want to take all of these, but Controlled Fury for cost than Twin Blade and Blunt for damage.

Tips and Miscellaneous

  • Race – 1) Imperial for max stamina and health 1a) Redguard for better sustained, 2) Bosmer for massive regeneration
  • Attributes – All stamina, keep it easy.
  • Vamp/WW – In the update I don’t won’t have room for this on my bar so I won’t be using it.  If you play a WW/Vamp that will be your own build.
  • Mundus – Warrior for more weapon damage.
  • Weapons – Two-Hander first, at level 15 Dual Wield, end game Bow.
  • Armor – All medium for max regeneration and reduced cost.
  • Gear – Three piece Ashen Grip and five piece Hunding’s Rage (craftable).
  • Food – Bi-stat for max stamina.
  • Health needed – Since you’ll be in the middle of the enemies, try to get around 18-20,000 health which shouldn’t be a problem running Imperial.

Champion Points

Harvester Champ

Consider this picture has 300 champion points to use (100 in each tree) and the numbers equal percentages of what you have.  So if you have 150 CP, focus 75% on Might FIRST.

  • Blue (the Mage) – Mighty first for more Biting Jab damage and we can get into Thaumaturge later for more Burning Light Damage (thanks FearTurbo for tip).
  • Red (the Warrior) – I just do a 50/50% split between Elemental Defender and Hardy.
  • Green (the Serpent) – I do a 60/40% split between reduced cost and regeneration though this could change drastically depending on race and content (PvP/PvE).

Skills

The Harvester Vet Maelstrom Skill loadout

Two Handed – Main damage bar

  • Critical Rush (morph of Critical Charge | Two-handed skill line) – A gap closer that procs a DoT with our Maelstrom Maul.
  • Rally (morph of Momentum | Two-handed skill line) – Self heal and our Major Brutality buff.
  • Repentance (morph of Restoring Aura | Restoring Light) – Passive resource regeneration and heals off of corpses for resources.
  • Biting Jabs (morph Puncturing Sweeps | Aedric Spear skill line) – Our single target damage ability that also gives us Major Savagery.
  • Executioner (morph of Reverse Slash | Two-handed skill line) – Execute ability meant for targets at 25% or lower.
  • Flawless Dawnbreaker (morph of Dawnbreaker | Fighters Guild skill line) – Passive 8% weapon damage and a decent ultimate if you need to kill something.

Bow – Buffs and AoE

  • Purifying Ritual (morph of Cleansing Ritual | Restoring Light skill line) – A cheap heal over time with the benefit of removing negative effects AND increasing our healing done by 25% (major mending).  I can’t tell you how great this ability is for survival and a most have for independent game play like VMA.
  • Arrow Barrage (morph of Volley | Bow skill line) – Who knew this ability rocks as an AoE?  After getting Maelstrom bow and trying it with the next ability, it’s powerful.
  • Razor Caltrops (morph of Caltrops | Alliance War Assault skill line) – A true must have for stamina builds even though you need to PvP to get it.  Massive AoE DoT and snare.
    • FLEX – Evil Hunter (morph of Expert Hunter | Fighters Guild skill line) – Major Savagery just for having it slotted but also effective against undead and daedroth.  I slot here for round 1, 6, 8 and 9.
  • Binding Javelin (morph of Piercing Javelin | Aedric skill line) – A ranged DPS ability with a stun that can be useful control ability.
  • Resolving Vigor (morph of Vigor | Alliance War Assault skill line) – An extra heal ability that also requires PvP.
  • Shooting Star (morph of Comet | Mages Guild skill line) – I like this instead of Nova for low cost though both are good to use.
    • FLEX – Solar Prison (morph of Nova | Dawn’s Wrath skill line) – When going for no death or Flawless Conquer I do substitute in Nova purely for damage mitigation.

Gear

Maelstrom Harvester Gear Chart

STATS GOAL = 18 to 19k health (I go 20k on no death runs), 35k stamina if Imperial and 4k weapon damage buffed.

  • Engine Guardian – Great for resources, healing and corpses can be repentance.   Head can be farmed in Darkshade Cavern, shoulders through Undaunted Pledges.  A substitute could be a 3 piece combo for Night Silence (helm, shoulders, weapons).
    • For speed runs I swap this in for Valkyin Skoria for a lot more damage with my DoTs.
  • Hunding’s Rage – Crafted set that is simply a must have for nearly all stamina builds.
  • Agility Set – Found in Imperial City or guild traders, a good substitute can be Endurance for much cheaper.

Champion Points

Maelstrom Harvester Champion Points

The Champion Points system has been updated and I use a new formula for my Blue or damage layout.

Asarye’s CP layout here has worked for me.  Try that or a simple split between Thuamaterg, Mighty and Precise Strikes.

Skills and Passives

Biting Harvester Picture

Dual Wield – Damage bar besides executes

  • Flying Dagger (morph of Hidden Blade | Dual Wield skill line) – Give us needed range for double melee and can be used for 10 seconds of Major Brutality.
  • Rending Slash (morph of Twin Slashes | Dual Wield skill line) – Buff, DoT, Spam and it works great.  This thing can tick for 5k damage and can increase our DPS.  Though if you want to keep it ultra simple, just jabs.
  • Repentance (morph of Restoring Aura | Restoring Light skill line) –  The usual zapping corpses is great, but just having this sucker slotted gives us 10% stamina recovery
  • Biting Jabs (morph of Puncturing Strikes | Aedric Spear skill line) – Our one button win.  Click this, and press it extra hard for extra damage (that’s a joke).
  • Steel Tornado (morph of Whirlwind | Dual Wield skill line) – Best AoE in the game, but only use when facing more than 3 enemies as Jabs is generally better.

Two-Handed – Execute, buffs and self healing.

  • Toppling Charge (morph of Focus Charge | Aedric Spear skill line) – Consider this a flex spot BUT you need at least one Aedric Spear skill due to Piercing Spear passive.  I like this for movement speed but Spear Shards is great for group utility.
  • Rally (morph of Momentum | Two-Handed skill line) – Our main source of Major Brutality that last over 30 seconds and can be used for a self heal.
  • Resolving Vigor (morph of Vigor | Alliance War Assault skill line) – Big time self heals but it uses your main resource, stamina.  Swap this out for Breath of Life if don’t have the skill (PvP skill line).
  • Evil Hunter (morph of Expert Hunter | Fighters Guild skill line) – Critical bonus for having it slotted (Jabs gives us that on first bar) and procs off any mob as well.
  • Executioner (morph of Reverse Slash | Two-Handed skill line) – Our finisher which should be used at or around 25% health, specifically on bosses.
  • Ice Comet (morph of Meteor | Mages Guild skill line) – Probably the best ultimate for pure DPS and it can be used often as a Templar.

Gear

Biting Harvester Gear Chart Biting Harvester Gear Picture

Gear idea from Essa

  • 5 Hunding’s Rage craftable set with everything we need for DPS.
  • 4 Night Mother’s on Dual Wield set for more critical and weapon damage.
  • 3 Agility for huge damage even with healthy.

Champion Points

Biting Harvester Champion Points Picture

501 Champion Point Setup

  • The Tower | Warlord – PvE I focus on reduced cost as Templar’s can use Repentance to restore stamina or Spear Shards for 25% max stamina.
  • The Lover | Mooncalf – Stamina recovery for maximum sustained for the rest of the Thief tree.
  • Atronach | Blade Expert – A small amount of points goes a long way doing medium weaves in between jabs.
  • The Ritual | Thamagturge – This pumps up our Evil Hunter and Burning Light procs and goes a long way.
  • The Ritual | Precise Strikes – Another boost to our critical strike damage that synergies well with our gear.
  • The Ritual | Mighty – All weapon attacks, all damage, pump this up.
  • The Steed | Spell Shield – Helps keep us in the fight especially with a lot of spell damage.
  • The Steed | Medium Armor Focus – More armor and spell resist adds up.
  • The Lady | Hardy – Poison and magic damage are prevalent in the new dungeon and this helps mitigate it.
  • The Lady | Elemental Defender – A must have for White Gold Tower.

Misc

  • Race Choice – 1) Redguard for best sustained 2) Imperial for something tankier 3) Orc for burst and speed.
  • Werewolf or Vampire – None if strictly PvE.
  • Attributes – Reach 18,000 health for the new content, 20,000 if you’re unfamiliar with the dungeons.  Rest go all stamina so 64 points.
  • Mundus Stone –  Shadow or more critical damage with all divines gives us 18.3% critical damage, combined with CP, we hit EXTREMELY hard.
  • Food and Drink – Go bi-stat stamina and health for max stats.

Skills

Harvester PvP 7 Skills

Two Handed (Sword)

  • Critical Rush (morph of Critical Charge | Two Handed skill line) – A solid gap closer that hits very hard. Combine this with Quick Cloak for very fast speed.
  • Rally (morph of Momentum | Two Handed skill line) – The main source of Major Brutality that must be kept up at all times (or via potion).  Recast for a powerful self heal.
  • Evil Hunter (morph of Expert Hunter | Fighters Guild skill line) – Our main source of Major Savagery and a chance to do damage on every mob (extra on daedric).
  • Blazing Spear (morph of Spear Shards | Aedric Spear skill line) – Each bar needs to have an Aedric Spear skill on its bar for the passive Piercing Spear. This is a great choice for synergy, stun and range.
  • Repentance (morph of Restoring Aura | Restoring Light skill line) – Use this ability if you 1) do not have the Master Greatsword or 2) do not have a Templar using it.  A true most have for any Templar.
    • Executioner (morph of Reverse Slash | Two Handed skill line) – If you have 1 and 2, go with Executioner as a stamina based finisher that should be used around 25% health.
  • Ice Comet (morph of Meteor | Mages Guild skill line) – I use this over Nova for pure damage and it looks like Update 7 gives Ice Comet a damage boost over Shooting Star.

Dual Wield (Daggers)

  • Flying Dagger (morph of Hidden Blade | Dual Wield skill line) – A nasty range damage ability that comes with a Major Brutality buff in Update 7.  This is how we get around NOT using the bow for double melee setup.
  • Quick Cloak (morph of Blade Cloak | Dual Wield skill line) – Speed, AoE reduction and a good source of damage makes Quick Cloak a must have buff to maintain.  It also procs Ravager gear too.
  • Evil Hunter (morph of Expert Hunter | Fighters Guild skill line) – Same as above.
  • Biting Jabs (morph of Puncturing Strikes | Aedric Spear skill line) – The MONSTER source of damage!  Learn to cast this with a medium weave for our main source of damage.
  • Steel Tornado (morph of Whirlwind | Dual Wield skill line) – The best AoE in the game is back and still useful for this build.
  • Flawless Dawnbreaker (morph of Dawnbreaker | Fighters Guild skill line) – 8% Weapon Damage is too good to pass up on our main DPS bar.

Passives

Harvester PvE7 pasives

Most Important

  • Aedric Spear – Piercing Spear and Balanced Warrior
  • Dawn’s Wrath – Restoring Spirit
  • Restoring Light – Mending

  • Medium Armor –  All
  • Heavy Armor – Everything but Bracing
  • Fighters Guild – Slayer, Banished the Wicked and Skilled Tracker

Misc

  • Attributes – all stamina
  • Race – 1) Redguard (better sustained) 2) Imperial (tougher) 3) Khajiit (burst and sustained)
  • Vampire/Werewolf – I’m a Vampire for PvP reasons though I DO NOT recommend it for strictly PvE.  Werewolf is useless if you don’t slot ultimate so no to that either.
  • Mundus Stone – Warrior

Hi Deltia, again, another quick question, for your skills are you sure that sword and board is the way to go even though you aren’t using any skills for passives from using sword and board, and you cant use any abilities for 2 hand and dual wield. love the bulid so far though

I’m sure he has the 2H abilities on there just to speed leveling up that skill line.
Here’s what he said above, “◾Two-Handed – Obtaining Momentum than Rally is our number one focus for this leveling build. Once we get that than we switch to Dual Wielding.”

I noticed in 1-10 bar 2 different weapon skills:
Two-Handed (cleave) and a Dual wield skill (twin slashes).
Since you cannot switch weapons before level 15 I can’t see the logic of it unless those skills have a passive effect.
Is it an error or is there any kind of explanation?
      Thanks in advance

In pvp this build can be OP or terrible depending on who you are fighting. Despite dying quickly you can handle a 2v1 simply by killing the enemies in seconds. If the enemy is a nightblade vampire and they use fear abilities on you then you are pretty much dead instantly.

hey deltia you always compare Templar to night blade but how does the dragon knight ‘bloody butcher’ or any stam build for DK compare? I’m having a really hard time just choosing what i want to play i really want to end up playing a stamina based character but i want to be just as efficient end game as people running magic builds, i have asked around and every time i ask about stam people just tell me stamina is trash =/ unless your NB and im not awfully keen on NB. I’m sorry for rambling i just want some clarity =/ by the way what you do is great you videos have help me a ton keep it up ^.^

    Hello Deltia,

So I have changed from a Magika using Templar to this build and im finding it weak for some reason I am a Veteran 1 Dark Elf and I die very easily. I was wondering, what if I use a 2 handed weapon instead of duel wielding AND used Heavy armour instead of Medium? Would that be able to work with damage and survivability?

Also it would be helpful if you could write up where to put skill points and when, like a point for point while leveling. Thanks so much.

Your videos are well done; it’s just difficult for me to find the place in the video where you talk about certain skills, etc. Maybe take what you say in your videos and do a write up. Like I said before, it would help if you could write on what skill you bought with skill points and when, point by point break down. I’m one of those readers that like a detailed cookie cutter build summary. Anyway thank you for taking the time to read my comments. If you want to discuss further, I can give you my email in a private message.

Are the nerfs to damage shields in PvP that severe that radiant ward/blazing shield are useless in it?

Blazing is now 15% of health and I consider it worthless running low health pool.

@Xvethanvx – Deltia has mentioned multiple times in his recent builds (Stam Sorc, Stam Nightblade) that Stamina is going do dominate in IC. I believe that’s why he’s making all these stamina builds.

The problem with this build is that there isn’t much defense or self healing. I tried it out on a few vet 2 group delve bosses with my V14 imperial templar and got murdered over and over again.

Deltia, today I actually noticed the link to the ESO skill factory webpage with your biting harvester build. Just to make sure, but is that up to date? I was looking at it and noticed you had bought executioner skill but thought with this latest update, in your video, that you did not take it. I may be misunderstanding the video though. But thank you for that link, just what I was looking for so that I could put points into the skills that you were talking about.

    Hey Deltia,
I am usually afraid to go with little health, especially as looks like the Biting Harvester will be a lot in melee combat. So my my question, how does this work with all points in stamina? How much life do you have? Oh btw mine is a redguard.

Hey man, idk how late this reply is, but I’m a wood elf and followed this build pretty closely. I use a bow instead of daggers, obviously, but the stam regeneration is good. I do really good damage, feel squishy at times, but my armor isn’t too great. I’m a Vet 5 and I don’t really struggle doing anything my level.

Hope I helped you out man, cause I wondered the same thing, and just said F it and rolled wood elf. I love it.

    I had a few questions/thing that I am a bit confused on.
    1) Once we are vet+, how should we set up our bow bar?
    2) With ravagers getting nerfed, what should we use in place?
    3) I made a dark elf to run with the shredder build, how gimp is that going to make me moving to this spec?

      1) I decided against bow in Update 7 as Master weapons have been nerfed.
      2) Ravager still is best in slot for Templars works just fine.
      3) 4% gimped which isn’t that bad. I used my Dunmer for this build initially and it did fine.

Hey man, any chance this will be done before the patch drops for console players? You have a week left. Also, question on the champion points. You have two listings on this page, which one are we to follow. Please don’t put anything in writing if its not finished. Players don’t want to spend money respeccing, if they get confused by your guides. I’m thankful that you write them, but if i had the time to write guides, they would be cleaner, and more straight forward. You’re lucky that you’re really the only well known guide writer for builds. I don’t see too many other options.

The champion points are for PvE and PvP, take note of the section each of them are in. Also i wouldn’t speak for everyone with your opinion, i personally am thankful for these builds and would rather him post them earlier as a WIP than wait ages for it to be perfected. MMO’s are always changing and patches happen etc, its better that he explain the core mechanics and theory behind the build and just update the fluff around it as he goes.

Im really grateful about all the work that Deltia puts into these builds, I would rather wait and get a finished build than a half baked product. When the game came out on consoles I was tricked into buying a guide package from another site which was a total scam (they claimed constant updates but their last builds were over a year old). Deltia’s guides are the best, hands down. And to be fair, the update already came out on pc/mac and we, the console players, are lucky for having all this info beforehand.

I would suggest looking a Deltia’s guide for the night blade setup for a bow. There are 1 or 2 abilities that are NB specific but mostly it is using bow. For this build…the way it is set you would want to lose the 2h because of rally…but that is just my opinion

4 pieces of Ashen Grip and
    4 pieces of Night’s Silence
    might just work as well?
Reason? Night’s Silence is much easier to craft early and the boosts are almost the same in this split.

I had the same question, but in general: magica dps: light, stam dps: medium, tank: heavy. Now my experience, I prefer medium, I leveled up wearing 4-5 med pieces 1-2 heavies and 0-1 light. After maxing out medium armor i switched to 5 heavies and 2 light and man i look awesome, but my damage and battle sustainability dropped big time, hard to kill stuff and run out of stamina very quick. Hope that helps.

I have a wood elf templar (since beta!) and I wanted to turn her to stamplar but when I throw everything into stamina with the gear you have she’s really low health even with blue food about 16K health. How are you doing it?

Also agree with Lionnel, we can’t see the CP layout because it’s just a jpg and does not link to the builder.

Well imperials have a 10% health bonus so that by itself gives a fair amount of health. Two good alternatives is putting 10 points into health and the rest into stam and/or but health glyphs on the major pieces (head/chest/legs). Also undaunted mettle gives health/magicka/stam boosts per armor type you have.

Hey Deltia, I’ll start by saying, you’ve helped my gameplay a lot from all of your articles, love the site. I was wondering something in particular with this build; as a newer player how hard would it be to make an Orc work with this build? At endgame would I be able to hold a candle to a red guard or wood elf? I really wanna make Orc work.

Orc would work better than Wood Elf. Redguard would be optimal.

did you try to replace one piece of nightmother with molag kenas shoulders? Loosing about 5% crit on the DW bar VS gaining 130 weapon damage sounds pretty good for me…

    Hey deltia,
I have just decided to make a new templar character to mimic (or at least as a baseline) your battery build. However, I already have a VR3 Templar set up as a healer. Would it be a smart idea to switch that over to this build? Reason for this could be that I have dawnbreaker and comet already unlocked on my VR3 one. And what would be the easiest way to lvl dual wield and 2h. Sorry for the long post, just want to know what you would do.

Alright man, as for leveling the quickest way possible for dual wield and 2h, just run the Old Orsinium loop and you’ll fly through those levels. I did that for VR 10-16 and got it in like 3 or 4 days playing about 4 or 5 hours per day. That’s if you have the time and haven’t hit VR 16 yet.

Fun Harvester due to speed and damage
      Easy Omega for self healing

If you wanna try both out, go Dunmer (max mag/stamina). Or for sure magicka would be High Elf or for sure stamina Redguard.

Alright, so do you still recommend vamp for the harvester build when running pvp? I’m a dunmer with 60 or so points in elemental defender. Also is 4 piece night mothers and 5 hundings with ravanger jewelry (working on getting agility) a good set up? I mainly run dual wield and bow but have everything necessary for 2h and bow too. So which would you recommend for pvp again?

First, thank you for taking the time to post such detailed information and for answering questions. As a new player, your website is a treasure trove of information.

Second, as I mentioned, I’m a new player and I’m trying to wrap my head around mechanics (as I play) and your weapon and gear choices. A few comments back, you mentioned that this guide uses double melee in PvE and a bow only for PvP. However, I noticed that the Blazing Harvester used DW on bar 1 and a bow on bar 2 in PvE. I know it’s an older build, so has your opinion on bow usage changed since then?

Third, I saw that on the 2H bar for level 10-25, you suggest Critical Rush (for gap closing), but then for 25-VR1, you replaced Crit Rush with Toppling Charge. I’ve read that Toppling Charge is not always effective. What do you think?

Fourth (and last), I’ve read that the HoT buff from Rally will still proc even if switching to DW. Is this true?

Thanks again. Sorry for bombarding you, but I appreciate any help you can give.

Bow just doesn’t do the damage that it use to in prior patches so that’s why I switched it out. Truthfully, I’m always changing my builds and weapons to try to find the maximum potential and some weapons preform better in certain instances say trials, pvp, pve, dungeons, etc.

Toppling Charge on a stamina build will give you the passive from Aedric spear, but it hits very weak and bugs out a lot of the time leaving you stuck in the charge animation.

Yes, Rally heal stays on regardless of the bar you’re on.

You’re not bothering me, the comments is for useful information feel free to ask questions.

Hey Deltia, I recently leveled a stamplar to potentially take over as my main, switching from stam NB. I feel very underwhelmed with my resource management in single target boss fights. Any thoughts on how you overcome this besides potions?

In terms of resource management, you are underwhelmed in comparison to NB. Your only saving grace is bodies with repentance, other than that, the NB is superior right now in almost every aspect.

I have a vet 6 Imperial Templar… was doing full Magic and stayed alive, dps was underwhelming compared to this build… but at least I could kill vet 5 world bosses without dying. Now I am trying this build, insane dps, but dying. Not sure if I need to go back to magic? I am an Imperial, so this build seems attractive

That’s the problem with stamplar, you don’t have the survivability like you do with magic do to Puncturing Sweeps over Biting Jabs. Magic will be much better in next patch, depends on what you like.

Hey Deltia are you suggesting that for end game we go dual wield and bow? If so, I dont seem to find that combination on your guide, theres 2h/bow and 2h/DW but I cant see any DW/Bow :/ Im coming back after almost 9 months and got the skills wiped out so Im really looking for a good guide, I used to play bow/1h and shield, so going dual and 2h will require to start from scratch on that departament, really looking forward for a DW/bow skills explanation there D:

DW Bow is great for PvE Dungeons where you don’t have to rely on yourself for healing. Something like Maelstrom where you do, 2H is optimal.

I’m mostly a PvE guy, I was going to try Maelstrom but then I read that the best AoE attack was from dual wield, so decided to go DW/Bow but again no skills explanation on the guide. Im getting my ass kicked right now trying to lvl up dualwield from lvl 6, It was so low.

Separate question, if I wanted to use 2H as my front bar on a stamina templars for PvE dungeons (I know you recommend DW/bow), what would you recommend for my back bar? Bow for ranged, DW for AoE?

Technically yes. But the reason for using medium armor is the passive skills that give you more crit, more stamina regen, etc. If you’re concerned about survivability I can tell you that I’m using this build at level VR4 and doing fine with medium armor. The only content I have trouble soloing is world bosses and dolmens. And those are supposed to be group encounters anyway.

Maelstrom is solo, you need more healing. PvE, e.g. dungeons you have a pocket healer and can focus 100% on DPS.

Might want to check them. I think it is set up for a DK not a templar. Base numbers are 50% elemental damage 57% physical damage. If you break down the physical damage 93% of the physical damage is dot damage and none of it is non dot. Our numbers are going to be drastically different than the ones you posted.

I’ve tried putting CP into thaumaturge compared to mighty, and I found that mighty is the right way to go if you want to make your jabs hit harder (because they deal physical damage). I think maybe both of thaumaturge and mighty will improve damage, because jabs is technically physical damage and DoT…

A little confused about the thieves guild update compared to the previous pve / pvp build. This may have been asked already, but just wanted to clear up if that 2.3 update was meant to be PVE and if going PVP should still refer to the previous build. Also, running an imperial, wondering if I’d have any issues respeccing into a magplar? I’ve heard the race isn’t as important as people think, just curious about your thoughts on that.
