Abby is one of the default characters in the game that you get to choose between. She is one of the best, if not the best, players to use for any close-quarters combat scenarios. Let us take a look at Abby’s character in the game and what makes her a good pick.

Abby is more of a close-range melee machine, making her a force to reckon with. Along with being a melee artist, she comes with some pretty useful traits. Considering her playstyle, many of her attacks would require her to approach the enemy as closely as possible.

Amid this process, she would be subject to a few shots here and there. This is where her first trait proves to be a gem. With every other melee kill, Abby regains half the bar of a health segment, rewarding her for her close-range efforts. This includes using her arms, weapons, or even stealth takedowns.

Melee begins the round with a military pistol, an unupgraded hammer, and two other special traits. These are the melee upgrade recipe and the brawler upgrade bench. The benefit of using Abby is that you would not need to unlock either of the special traits. When using your hammer, try to use it till it has just a single durability move left in it before upgrading it. This enables you to get more uses out of the weapon.

Here’s an additional tip. On the level select board, go to the spot where you see the Close Quarters upgrade path. Picking this path is extremely beneficial for a melee-focused character. You will be rewarded with improved melee weapon upgrades, an increase in health by 25%, and the endurance kill. This saves you from a lethal attack by reducing your health to low and giving you a chance to escape.

The Brawler upgrade bench consists of three stages. Each of these grants Abby’s character a flourishing set of abilities and combo opportunities to wreak havoc on your opponents.

  1. Heal on Melee Hit: In the first stage, each non-fatal attack you perform on your opponent restores a small portion of your health.
  2. Momentum: The second stage has a lot to do with strikes. Strikes in No Return are high-damage-inducing finisher melee moves that can be triggered against enemies who are stunned. With the Momentum stage, after killing an enemy with a strike move, you will be given a 4-second buff period to use another strike attack.
  3. Momentum duration: The third stage is an enhanced version of the second stage. This time, however, you receive a 70% increase in duration, roughing up to around 7 seconds in total. This gives you some more time to perform the second strike in case your opponent is slightly farther away.
