Discover essential tips for exploring underground tunnels, battling bosses, and mining rare ores in Caves The Survival Game Roblox.

Roblox’s The Survival Game just handed explorers a sprawling underground playground, and it is packed with hazards. The new cave network stitches old tunnels together beneath the Mainland, drops rare ores into every crevice, and hides a colossal spider boss that spits poison fangs worth their weight in gold.
Light is scarce, but glowing mushrooms double as torches and provide bursts of speed when eaten. Void pits punish sloppy jumps with instant death, while smaller spiders and wolves wait around every bend.
Caves in The Survival Game Roblox
Caves in The Survival Game are no longer side areas; they’re now core to your progress. With the new update, the cave system has expanded drastically beneath the Mainland, linking several older cave areas and introducing an entire network filled with resources, enemies, and loot.
To enter the new system, head to the marked entrance on the Mainland. As soon as you step inside, the environment changes: visibility drops, glowing mushrooms light the path, and the danger level rises. Carry a torch at all times. The caves are dark, and while the mushrooms help, they don’t fully illuminate long stretches.
Start exploring by keeping to the right. This will eventually lead you to the Spider Cavern, where the Great Spider boss resides. It’s easy to spot once you pass through clusters of eggs and thick webs. The boss is aggressive and can poison you, dealing damage over time and blocking your healing ability for ten seconds. It also spawns smaller spiders, so clear those before focusing on the main threat.
Use elevation to your advantage. Find a tall mushroom near the arena and climb it, as this lets you dodge the boss’s melee attacks. Ranged weapons are your best bet here. Poison arrows and fire arrows work especially well, though regular bows can still get the job done.
Crafting Arrows in The Survival Game
Once defeated, the Great Spider drops Poison Fangs, which you can take to a Darksteel Forge. One fang crafts ten poison arrows. These arrows are powerful, dealing 43 damage and disabling healing. However, the cost of farming them is high. You’ll need to fight the spider repeatedly, and it only drops a single fang unless you own a specific gamepass.

Fire arrows, also craftable at the forge, use gunpowder and darksteel. They cause burn damage and invert your opponent’s controls, adding a layer of chaos during PvP.
While exploring, you’ll find iron ore, especially near the middle of the cave system. These nodes require at least an iron pickaxe to mine effectively. You’ll also encounter hazards, like a deadly void area that kills you instantly if you fall. Some areas include light parkour or jumps, but you can build over them if needed.
Along the way, you’ll come across yellow and blue mushrooms. The yellow mushroom sacrifices 25 health in exchange for a strong speed boost, ideal for escapes or sudden movement. The blue mushroom, on the other hand, causes instant death. Avoid it entirely.
Finally, the update also introduces wolf taming via gamepass. Tamed wolves can be ridden, attack enemies with area damage, and serve as fast mounts for underground travel, though this option is locked behind paid access.
Every major cave area, whether it’s for gathering rare ores, crafting arrows, or fighting bosses, demands preparation. Bring torches, food, proper tools, and backup weapons. Don’t rush in empty-handed, or you’ll end up starting from spawn with nothing to show for it.
