Let’s end the long-running debate by ranking the top 5 strongest Assassins in the entire Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Who the strongest Assassin’s Creed protagonist is something that fans have been debating for years. Every few years, we get a new entry into the series, and the debate sparks up again. Unfortunately, there is no stable way of comparing the “strength” of each protagonist in the franchise. However, we can examine them in their respective games and compare which one is the strongest of all.

The Strongest Assassin’s Creed Protagonist

Arguably, the strongest protagonist in the series is Kassandra. She is the canon protagonist in AC Odyssey and is a descendant of the Isu. Hence, she is a demigod. So, we won’t be including her on this list to keep things fair. Kindly note that the list is not official in any way, and the official crew members of the video game franchise have not revealed anything about this comparison. The list represents the writer’s opinions.

Moreover, it does not pay attention to the “stealth” aspect of each character but judges them based on their feats of strength. The strongest Assassins in the series are listed below, ranked in decreasing order of strength:

  • Yasuke
  • Adewale
  • Bayek
  • Connor
  • Jacob Frye

We couldn’t sum up all the characters on this “top 5” list. But if you are interested in knowing more about the characters on this list and why we ranked them in this order, feel free to scroll below and read more about them.

1. Yasuke

While you may not agree with Yasuke being the most powerful Assassin in the entire franchise, you still can’t deny that he is a fighting unit you don’t want to mess with. Yasuke’s physical dimensions make him an intimidating opponent, and his fierce fighting style shows how much brute strength he can use while keeping his composure and technique intact.

Although AC Shadows hasn’t come out yet (at the time of writing this article), Yasuke’s presentation in the trailers and gameplay footage so far suggests he is a tough samurai to bring down. Stealth is not his strongest suit, but he can surely bring down fragile walls with ease!

2. Adewale

Edward Kenway’s trusted right-hand man from Assassin’s Creed Black Flag got his own spinoff video game: Freedom Cry. This standalone game was about Adewale’s adventures after he had been accepted into the Brotherhood, following the events of Black Flag. Now, we see Ade get his own ship and head to the French colony of Saint-Domingue (present-day Haiti) between 1735 and 1737.

Adewale uses his machete to cut through colonizers and enslavers while offering freedom to his “brothers” and “sisters” who were captured against their will. He also uses a blunderbuss when needed. However, his natural strength surpasses the weapons he uses, as he has been shown to handle hordes of enemies easily and take down foes larger than himself without much trouble.

3. Bayek

The story in Assassin’s Creed Origins is far more personal than many others in the series. Bayek of Siwa is not motivated by the Brotherhood because it hadn’t been formed yet. Instead, he wishes to avenge his son’s death while also protecting the people in and beyond Siwa as the last Medjay.

In his quest to avenge the death of his beloved son, Bayek kills all corrupt men and women who think themselves superior. His journey in AC Origins shows us how powerful he is. Bayek’s strength allowed him to put down enemies twice as big as himself while also mastering the most lethal weapons found in Ancient Egypt.

4. Connor

Ratonhnhaké:ton, a member of the Kanien’kehá:ka tribe, became the symbol of hope and independence during British colonialism in America. “Connor,” as Achilles Davenport named him (after his deceased son), was a member of the Kenway bloodline. Even though Connor was pushed into a big role pretty early in life, he was a tough fellow.

Although all members of this bloodline were pretty strong, Connor’s cry for freedom made him even stronger than his father, mother, and grandfather. Regardless of what weapon he used in combat, he could still break locks with his bare fists. He was a British colonist’s worst nightmare, even without any weapons equipped.

5. Jacob Frye

The Frye twins were a force to be reckoned with. While one was a master of stealth, the other was a brawler. The latter trait was attributed to Jacob Frye. Typically, we find that Assassins prefer a stealthy approach. That wasn’t the case with Jacob. On the contrary, he loved going toe-to-toe with enemies.

While Assassin’s Creed Syndicate gave players the choice of letting Jacob enter stealth and allowing Evie to complete an objective guns blazing, the former had the upper hand in open combat situations. What made Jacob a terrifying fighter was his stamina. Since Syndicate didn’t have a stamina meter, he was unstoppable during fights, making him one of the strongest Assassins in Assassin’s Creed history.
