The desolate land of Aghasba seems to be a treacherous place, deeply in need of a facelift. As you roam around your ancestral land and try to rebuild it to its former glory, you will constantly be on the edge, desperately trying to survive on a day-to-day basis. To do so, you will need all the ingredients you could possibly get, not just to eat but also to be able to craft better stuff and restore Aghasba. Fish is one such important ingredient that is essential if you wish to survive in the early game. You can go fishing in the game, but the game does not make it clear how, as there are no tools or fishing rods you could use.

How To Fish in Towers of Aghasba
Unleash the Hunter Within
You can learn how to fish in Towers of Aghasba as part of the ‘Unleash the Hunter Within’ questline in the game. In this questline, the hunter Hoa teaches you the ways of the wild, with fishing being a part of them. Hoa can be found on a cliff near the lake on Amani Island. Talk to him and head down to the lake below.
Here, your task is to fish. It may be confusing at first as there is no fishing rod in sight, but in these lands, we work with what we have. You can either use your arrow or your spear for the task. We have found both to be equally viable, with no clear winner. Feel free to use whichever you prefer.
Use Your Weapon To Fish
Now, with your weapon of choice in hand, simply aim at the fish in the water. If you’re using your bow and arrow, shoot the arrow at the fish. For the spear, throw it at the fish. We recommend aiming for the fish closer to the surface, as they’re easier to hit. We also recommend maintaining a fair bit of distance so as to not startle the fish away. You will also scare them away if you miss the shot, so be patient.
Once you hit the fish, it should float over the surface, and you can collect it and add it to your inventory.
