An Elden Ring streamer by the name of EdyBot recently completed a “fists-only” Elden Ring run by using a punchable martial arts dummy as her controller and winning FromSoftware’s open-world game. EdyBot has posted several gameplay snippets, featuring fights with bosses including Margit the Fell Omen, the Draconic Tree Sentinel, and more.

Her Century training dummy seemed to be equipped with motion control wires that assign each part of its body to a button. For example, to deliver standard and heavy attacks, she hit the top middle of the dummy’s chest, therefore pressing the corresponding button for that command.

She was connected to the dummy and a heart rate monitor via a cord in her shorts. Additionally, it appeared as though she was using a modified dance pad to sprint and roll.

During the stream, 1,097 deaths into her run, she said:

This is the dream, baby. We’re so close.

EdyBot Took Down Melania

EdyBot was exhausted after her battle with Malenia, who is notoriously difficult to defeat because she regenerates health every time she lands a hit. She huffed as she quickly smashed her dummy with the Bloodhound’s Fang curved greatsword, carving out large slices of demigod. She only stopped her flow to heal by drinking Crimson Tears, which she did by knocking her dummy, Fleshman.

When Malenia is eventually defeated by Edybot, she entirely loses her breath and falls to the ground. She then says:

“Oh my God, I f*cking did it.”

She hugs Fleshman tightly before bringing out a stool that appears to have motion control censors installed as well. Her character from Elden Ring performs a few emotes while EdyBot squats over the stool.

EdyBot eventually finished her knuckle-breaking Elden Ring challenge after two weeks and 1,428 deaths. It doesn’t seem like the best gaming method, but it seems more enjoyable than usual.
