• When you start the duel, the Morale bar depends on the tide of the battle. You start with an advantage if your side is winning the war. Similarly, you start with a disadvantage if your side is losing the war.
• Winning a duel gives a massive morale boost to your side, while also lowering the courage of the enemies.

You will be able to use all your combat mechanics during a duel, including Battle Arts. You will also be able to use any Portable Items that you have carried to the battlefield.

The greatest advantage of winning duels in Dynasty Warriors Origins is the boost to your side’s morale and the lowering of your opponent’s courage. If you defeat the enemy officer and win, all other mob enemies will immediately lose all their courage, and you can finish them off easily without a lot of effort.

Conversely, if you lose a duel, your side will suffer a heavy blow to their Morale. This might become problematic during extended wars where you need to cover a lot of ground.
