Find out everything about Requests in Dynasty Warriors Origins as we explain this type of battle in detail in this article.
The majority of Dynasty Warriors Origins’ gameplay is about winning wars, suppressing enemies, and eventually restoring peace to Ancient China. Other than the large-scale major suppression battles, you will also end up fighting a lot of smaller battles like Skirmishes and Requests. These are a fun addition that helps to mix things up and break the monotony of long battles.
Requests are small-scale battles in Dynasty Warriors Origins. They are similar to Skirmishes in terms of difficulty but are also different in terms of activation and rewards. In this article, we will explain what Requests are in Dynasty Warriors Origins and why you should complete them.
Requests in Dynasty Warriors Origins Explained
Requests are small-scale battles that you can undertake in Dynasty Warriors Origins. While traversing the overworld map in the game, you will often come across ally NPC officers who will have a small “handshake” icon beside their name. This is the visual cue of a Request in Dynasty Warriors Origins, and you must simply interact with this NPC to accept the Request.
Generally, Requests comprise battles with the following properties:
- You might have to travel to a specific location and capture it, as per the Request. In most cases, this is very near to the Requester.
- Enemies are usually bandits, brigands, or pirates.
- Requests often entail killing a specific enemy (or enemies) or taking over bases at enemy camps. Keep an eye out for the exact nature of the Request.
- There is no War Council or Companions during Requests.
After you accept the Request, it will appear on the map with the same semi-transparent white cylinder as a Skirmish. As you approach this, you will be able to see the name of the requester here and all other details surrounding it. Once you complete a Request, you will have to return and report to the officer or NPC who initiated the quest. Once you interact with this NPC, the request will be completed, and you can claim your rewards.
How is a Request Different From a Skirmish in Dynasty Warriors Origins?
Both Requests and Skirmishes are small-scale battles that mostly encompass the same flow and missions. Their primary difference is the initiation and rewards. Skirmishes randomly appear on the map as you traverse it, whereas Requests are specifically given to you by an NPC. As such, a Request completes only when you report back to this same NPC. On the other hand, Skirmishes complete instantaneously the moment you win the battle.
Both Peace and Skirmishes have additional rewards, like increasing the Peace of a region gradually, which allows you to claim rewards from Waymarks after a certain point. On the other hand, Requests raise your affection with allies, which can help you in the large-scale suppression battles in Dynasty Warriors Origins.
