3) Conqueror’s Haki
Conqueror’s Haki is the rarest of the three types. It allows users to dominate the will of others. Such ability is possessed by only a few naturally, as it cannot be trained or learned. Users can knock out the weaker opponents just with their presence or infuse it in their attacks for increased destructive power.
Advanced Haki in One Piece
Advanced Haki in One Piece elevates each form of Haki to a far more powerful level. This is mainly seen when a user pushes their power to a great extent in a battle. Advanced Haki is a special characteristic of elite fighters, and very few in the world of One Piece have ever mastered it.
The first advanced Haki shown in detail is Observation Haki. When in advanced state, a user of this ability is able to see a few seconds into the future. This gives the user an enormous advantage in combat where they could predict, and thus easily dodge, the incoming attacks.
Armament Haki’s advanced form, known as Ryuo, uses the concept of flow. Instead of simply hardening an object or body, the user can project their Haki onto the target and destroy it from within. This internal damage is nearly impossible to defend against. Luffy learned this during his training in Wano and used it against tougher opponents like Kaido, proving its immense destructive power.
Advanced Conqueror’s Haki coats the body or weapons of the users, allowing them to increase their attacks drastically. The power comes in the form of visible black lightning trails when it is activated. Only the strongest fighters can use this advanced variation, thereby branding them top-tier fighters of the One Piece world, such as Kaido.
Notable Haki Uses in One Piece
In One Piece, Haki is used in major moments that define the power and determination of the strongest characters from the series. These often constitute a turning point in battles and represents the true power of Haki.
Shanks popularly used Conqueror’s Haki when he arrived on Whitebeard’s ship in episode 316. Taking a simple step onto the ship, Shanks released such an overwhelming aura that it knocked out several of Whitebeard’s men. It all shows how hazardous and powerful Conqueror’s Haki can be outside of fair combat.
Another major event happened with the Armament Haki when Luffy confronted Donquixote Doflamingo in episode 723. He covered his moves with Armament Haki, which made it much more devastating when coupled with the destruction power of his Gear Fourth form. It was this combination of power and Haki that enabled Luffy to defeat one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.
In terms of Observation Haki, the most notable moment came during Luffy’s battle with Katakuri in episode 856. Once he lost to Katakuri’s powers of foresight, Luffy quickly learned how to use Observation Haki at a higher level, which aided him in predicting and changing the flow of Katakuri’s pattern.
Even the advanced form of Armament Haki, or Ryuo, proved significant when Hyogoro had Luffy learn it in Wano. Luffy confidently executed this technique to damage even a Yonko, Kaido.
