Enshrouded has a cap on the maximum number of Skill Points in the game. Learn more about it so you can spend them judiciously.
Enshrouded has kept a cap on its max Skill Points for unknown reasons. The game doesn’t clarify why you can obtain a certain number of skill points to spend, but it tends to keep players from unlocking their full potential.
But what is the cap that everybody keeps talking about? For the most part, the agreed cap sits on the 114 Skill Points. However, this information is now a little outdated.
With the Souls of the Frozen Frontier update, the developers added a new Level-cap and more side activities for the Flameborns to complete. This has also kicked up the skill point-cap.
Previously, the Level-cap was at 25. You earn 2 points for each levelling up each time. There were also fewer Shrouded Roots and Elixir Wells, which give you 1 and 3 Skill Points, respectively, upon completion. So, everything added up to reach 114. This held some players back from acquiring all the abilities in the Skill-Tree.
After the 4th big update, the Level-cap moved up to Level 35, letting you earn 68 Skill Points for reaching max-level. Besides this, there are 33 Shroud Roots and 16 Elixir Wells that sum to 33 and 48 Skill points, respectively, in total. So, the max Skill Points in Enshrouded is 149.
Now you might be able to get the abilities you previously missed, but there are some added abilities in the Skill Tree.
A New Ability You Must Unlock in Enshrouded
The big fourth update in Enshrouded was released in November 2024 and has a lot to offer to the player base. The game received a brand-new region, some new mobs and enemies, and also got a brand-new mechanic to experiment with!
Grappling Hook has always been an efficient tool in the game’s traversal. However, the new update also introduced it in combat. Yes. That’s right. You can now use your Grapple Hook in encounters against enemies.
Based on what skills you have unlocked, you can pull in flying enemies toward yourself or close the distance between you and bigger foes using your Grapple Hook. Don’t forget to check out how to use this mechanic to your advantage in fights.
Let us know in the comments below which skills you would like to leave behind due to the max Skill Points cap in Enshrouded.
