When are The Thing and Human Torch arriving in Marvel Rivals? Here’s what we know about their release so far.

With two members of the Fantastic Four in Marvel Rivals, The Thing and Human Torch are the anticipated next pair to be introduced to the game. NetEase Games have already confirmed that the two members of Marvel’s first family who did not arrive at the onset of Season 1 will be coming to the game before this season ends. But when exactly will they arrive?

There have been countless leaks at this point regarding the update they will bring together. In fact, Human Torch’s Ability Kit was also leaked several weeks before his arrival. However, there was no specific date regarding his arrival. There still isn’t. But we can predict a tentative release date based on the schedule Marvel Rivals will be following.

The dev team behind the game revealed that Season 1 will be split into two phases. Since the Eternal Night Falls chapter will last around 3 months, the first phase was supposed to last around 6-7 weeks. Since this first phase for S1 was released on the 10th of January, 2025 UTC, we can expect the second one to arrive sometime between February 21 and February 28, 2025.

This is a prediction, though. So, don’t take our word for it. The final date is in the hands of the dev team based on their progress. However, one thing is for sure, the second phase of this season will definitely introduce The Thing and Human Torch to Marvel Rivals.

The Thing and Human Torch Are Not Coming Empty-Handed to Marvel Rivals

Apart from the two characters that we will get, Marvel Rivals will also give us some new additional content to go along with it. As we all know, the Eternal Night Falls Season took place entirely in New York City. As a result, we got two new maps, Midtown and Sanctum Sanctorum. These maps are used for Convoy and Doom Match (free-for-all) modes, respectively.

The only map left to introduce to the game for this season is the Central Park one. Since we already have a Convoy map, it will most likely be used for Convergence or Domination modes. But that’s not all that these two Fantastic Four members will be bringing along with them.

The Seasonal Event Midnight Features shut down a few days ago. It served its days of glory, gave us a peak into the background lore for this season, a free skin for Thor, and now it has left without a trace. Don’t worry. It’s not a bug. It was supposed to happen. This was done to probably make way for a second Seasonal Event. We are not sure what lore it would bring us and what prizes we will receive on completion. But we will make sure to keep you informed.
