Mega Gallade’s Pokemon GO debut has been confirmed for 2025, with trainers getting to encounter the beast on an event day.
Mega Gallade is set for a 2025 release date in Pokemon GO, with Niantic finally confirming when trainers will get to encounter the beast in Mega Raids. The mega-evolved form of the Gen IV Psychic- and Flighting-type Pokemon is a force to reckon with. It is the final form of Ralts and evolves from Kirlia.
For those unaware, only male Kirlia evolves into Gallade in Pokemon GO. Otherwise, a trainer will get Gardevoir, whose mega-evolved form is already present in-game. So when are we getting to encounter Mega Gallade? Let’s find out.
Pokemon GO Mega Gallade Release Date
Mega Gallade will debut in Pokemon GO on January 11, 2025, from 2 pm local time to 5 pm local time with the Mega Gallade Raid Day. Its shiny form will also be available for lucky trainers to encounter. As mentioned, players will battle the mega-evolved Blade Pokemon in Mega Raids.
Upon successfully defeating it, they will be able to capture Gallade. They will then be able to mega evolve the same with the help of 200 Gallade Mega Energy (that they can accumulate from successfully completing Mega Gallade raid battles).

Mega Gallade Raid Day will feature the following event bonuses:
- Remote Raid Pass limit increased to 20 from Friday, January 10, at 4.00 pm to Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 7.00 pm PST.
- Receive up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a total of seven).
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Gallade from Mega Raids.
Trainers will also be able to purchase an event ticket for US$5.00 for the following bonuses (lasting on the day from 2 pm to 10 pm local time):
- Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a daily total of 15)
- Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
- 50% more XP from Raid Battles
- 2× Stardust from Raid Battles
