Enshrouded offers several craftspeople that you can befriend to help you out on your journey. Here’s where to find all of them.
Finding all the craftspeople in Enshrouded is an important feature in the game that you need to take advantage of as soon as you can. Keen Games added these NPCs to help you out on your journey throughout Embervale.
There are various types of NPCs in the game, but the craftspeople are specifically designed to help you become an efficient survivor in the world. Their tasks can range from crafting items for you to helping you unlock new materials.
These craftspeople also give you quests that you can do to unlock something new and go out exploring with a purpose. However, there isn’t just one craftsperson that you need to look out for. In fact, as of the Souls of the Frozen Frontier update, there are 7 of them you can find.
All Enshrouded Craftspeople’s Locations
Oswald Anders (Blacksmith)
Oswald is the first Craftsperson NPC that you can save in Enshrouded. He is a blacksmith who can craft high-grade armor and tools for you to use in Embervale. Since these tools can break and the armor would also need to be upgraded, he needs to stick around. You can save him pretty early on in the game.
Players need to visit the Ancient Vault, southwest of the Ancient Spire in Springlands. He will give you access to the Blast Furnace, Charcoal Kiln, Forge, Smelter, and Smithing Tools.
Emily Fray (Farmer)
The farmer NPC lets you craft some important things that you need to sustain yourself. She will be your guide to medicinal plants as well. Adding her to your friend’s list will grant you access to an Almanac of Plants and Seedlings, Beehive, Beehive Smoker, Fireplace, Oven, and Seedbed.
She can be found in an Ancient Vault north of the Ancient Spire located in Springlands.
Cade Hawthorn (Carpenter)
You also have access to a carpenter friend who will do exactly what you would expect them to do. Cade is good with crafts and also lets you use some of the workshops like Kiln, Masonry Tools, and Table Saw. These can prove useful, especially when you maintain and renovate your base regularly.
Cade can be found in the Ancient Vault located southwest of the Ancient Spire in Low Meadows.
Balthazar (Alchemist)
Balthazar can prove very useful if potions and medicines are something that you use a lot in an RPG. The alchemist does exactly what the profession sounds like. Moreover, you can gain access to the Alchemy Station, Grinding Stones, Laboratory, and Mortar. Each of these has its own uses, but if you wish to take some load off Balthazar, the Laboratory should be your priority.
Expect to find him in the Ancient Vault west of the Springlands Ancient Spire.
Athalan Skree (Hunter)
The Hunter is another useful companion in Enshrouded if you were looking to increase your carrying capacity in the game. She appears pretty early on in the game, and you should save her as soon as you can. She will help you with a Drying Rack, Hand Spindle, Spinning Wheel, Improved Spinning Wheel, Loom, and Tanning Station.
She can be found east of the Springlands Ancient Spire, in an Ancient Vault.
Alden Crowley (Collector)
This companion is a little different from others on the list. He may look shady, but is a friend, nevertheless. The crafting equipment that he offers is the Ectoplasm Press. He will give you access to necromantic items. His role is similar to the Alchemist but with a dark twist to keep things fresh.
You can find him in the Springlands Hollow Halls, southwest of the Springlands Ancient Spire.
Valory (Bard)
Valory can be found in the Sunken Ancient City. As a bard, she doesn’t help you with combat or building at all. However, she has some tales from her travels across Embervale. Moreover, she will carve instruments like Hand Drum, Flute, Lute, and Harp for you if you wish to have them.
