At this time, there has been no official confirmation from Ubisoft or Xbox regarding Assassin’s Creed Shadows being available on Game Pass. The game’s official Xbox page does not mention its inclusion in the subscription service at launch, only showing the option to purchase/pre-order the title. However, it is important to note that Ubisoft has added several titles to Game Pass after their initial release. This includes other Assassin’s Creed titles like Valhalla and Origins, suggesting that Shadows will follow suit after its initial launch.

For players eager to play Assassin’s Creed Shadows on day one, there is another way to go about it without purchasing the game individually. Ubisoft offers a subscription service called Ubisoft+ Premium. This subscription grants access to new releases on their launch day. By subscribing to Ubisoft+ Premium, players can enjoy Assassin’s Creed Shadows without waiting for its potential addition to Xbox Game Pass.

Given the history of Ubisoft titles on Game Pass, we can reasonably speculate that Assassin’s Creed Shadows might eventually join the service. However, it is likely that this will occur about a year after the game’s release, similar to the pattern observed with other recent Assassin’s Creed titles. Until an official announcement is made, fans will need to monitor updates from both Ubisoft and Xbox.
