5 Best Games To Buy PS5 Pro For

PlayStation 5 Pro has been released. If you’re considering purchasing it, here are the best games that you can experience on it.

The PS5 Pro is far superior to the base PS5, and that too at a competitive price point. However, there aren’t a lot of games on the market that really take advantage of this console. Games are the reason people buy consoles, and the PS5 Pro isn’t looking great in that bracket.

That said, I’ve created a list of five games that really justify buying the PS5 Pro over the base PS5.

1) Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The latest and greatest entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is Shadows. And Ubisoft seems to have really redeemed itself with this game. People have been enjoying this title, and the sales have been extraordinary as well. You’ll get the most out of this game as a PS5 Pro user since it runs and plays much better on this platform.

The performance mode comes embedded with a complete ray-traced global illumination system. And that runs at a consistent 60 FPS too, which is an amazing upgrade. As for the quality mode, it adds on ray-traced reflections as well. However, that comes at a cost to the overall performance, which is cut by 50%. Assassin’s Creed Shadows runs so well on the PS5 Pro, and it is not even using the PSSR yet on the console.

2) Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Spider-Man 2 is already one of the most optimized games that you can play on the base PS5. Insomniac Studios does not disappoint and has made the game even better to play on the PS5 Pro. The game gets a new Performance Pro Mode, which basically merges the quality and performance modes from the base PS5.

You get the best of both worlds without having to sacrifice either performance or resolution. The ray-tracing features of the quality mode are now enabled at 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro. You’ll enjoy playing through the game again if you get a Pro. Even newcomers will have a great time because Spider-Man 2 is one of the best superhero games out there.

3) Dragon’s Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of those games that you just could not enjoy on the base PS5 at launch. There were a lot of performance issues, and the visuals looked poor in the frame rate mode. Thankfully, the PS5 Pro version of the game is far superior and actually playable. It not only provides smooth performance but also a clear image.

Console gamers can now finally enjoy this long-awaited sequel on the PS5 Pro. The game still isn’t perfect and has its fair share of issues on the Pro. However, it is miles better than the mess that launched on the base PS5 and the Xbox Series X.

4) Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Another great game that really shines on the Pro is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Now, this is a really good Final Fantasy title that gamers couldn’t really play at 60 FPS at launch on the base PS5. It wasn’t as though the game didn’t run at that frame rate. 60 FPS was achieved, but the resolution was dumbed down so much that everything looked blurry.

So, almost everyone ended up playing on the quality mode instead. Again, the PS5 Pro version of this game fixes that problem, and Rebirth now runs at much better visual fidelity while providing a consistent 60 FPS. It is almost the same situation as Spider-Man 2. You get the best parts of the quality and performance modes of the base PS5 on the Pro.

5) Grand Theft Auto 6

GTA 6 hasn’t launched yet, but it is anticipated to drop on consoles this year. And there will be no better place to play this title at launch than the PS5 Pro. GTA 6 is probably the most hyped game ever in the video game industry.

Since Rockstar does not do day-and-date launches with PC, the PS5 Pro will be the best place to play this game. Additionally, it will inevitably feature no 60 FPS mode on the base PS5 and Xbox Series X.
