The Rogue class in Dragon Age: The Veilguard emphasizes a high-risk, high-reward playstyle and offers several weapons to pick from.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard lets players flex their own creativity by letting them forge their own path through the story with unique playstyles. To facilitate this, the game offers three distinct classes, with three sub-classes called specializations. Mixing and matching these classes and sub-classes, and then pairing them with The Veilguard’s massive selection of weapons, lets players carve out their own distinct identity in the game. The Rogue class, in particular, offers a wide array of Rogue weapons to pick from, each having perks that make it an attractive choice. In this guide, we shall go over the five best Rogue weapons in Dragon Age: The Veilguard and where you can find them.
1) Grip and Rip
The Grip and Rip is a two-handed unique longbow that comes across as a x2wbit of a black sheep in the Rogue class. The longbow has a -50 percent on ranged attacks and has average stats. Why does it make it to the list then? This is because the longbow lets you carry +7 arrows and allows you to shoot three arrows at the same time, making your shots more widespread. The weapon is perfect for crowd control and is found in a chest right after the Fangscorcher boss.
2) Arainai’s Talon
The Arainai’s Talon is a unique longsword and serves as an offhand weapon for the Rogue. The weapon boasts respectable stats, but its real selling point is the +30 percent boost on Necrotic damage. The longsword is obtained in the Heart of Corruption quest in the game.
3) Azure Bow
The second bow on this list, the Azure Bow is a Rare Shortbow that is found inside the Warden’s Vault. The weapon complements the hit-and-run playstyle synonymous with the Rogue class through its hip-fire ability. With this, you can either take fights from a distance or run in close to spray at enemies.
4) Optimist’s Span
The Optimist’s Span is one of the hardest-hitting Rogue weapons in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. You find the blade during the Heart of Corruption quest. The broadsword boasts great damage stats for ground attacks, which can be amped up by 100 percent if you jump. The weapon is perfect against bosses. Spam jump attacks to cleave through the boss and clinch victory.
5) Enchanted Longblade
The final weapon on this list, the Enchanted Longblade, is a Rare Saber and is dropped by Noctrunix upon defeat. The weapon has +20 percent final attack damage that is perfect for combo flows. It also has the highest stagger statistic among all the weapons on this list.
