The story of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 follows the journey of Henry of Skalitz, picking up right where the first game left off. This new chapter of Henry’s story is filled with twists, turns, and betrayals, and your choices shape how Henry’s saga ends. Among one of these crucial choices is one regarding Brabant.
Barbant is one of the NPCs found in the Reckoning main story quest in the game. This quest sees Henry escaping the Prague camp while finding a horse before he does so. His best friend Samuel, too, has been captured, and finding him is one of the objectives. Your search for Samuel across the strictly guarded camp takes you to a heavily guarded building. Here, Samuel is being berated and cruelly interrogated by Brabant.
As you confront Brabant to save Samuel, you will have to fight him in a duel. Defeating him in the duel will grant you the choice to either kill or spare Brabant. Should You Kill or Spare Brabant?
On a mechanical level, sparing Brabant makes the rest of the mission harder. Brabant will let you and Samuel out of the building before raising the alarm and alerting the entire base. This will put the entire base on you, making things more difficult. Killing him is the easier choice if you’re looking to finish the mission quickly. However, this will have a negative impact on the game’s ending. We recommend sparing Brabant as it has a positive impact on the story and will give you a positive ending.
Spoilers for the game’s ending: Henry will once again meet his parents later in a dream, where they will recognize his good and dark deeds. Sparing Brabant registers as one of the honorable deeds, putting Henry in a good light in front of his parents and giving his story a more positive conclusion. Hence, we recommend sparing Brabant.
