Note: This article focuses on Schedule 1 and its content, which is a video game set in a fictional world. Items, recipes, etc, mentioned in the article are exclusively from the game and don’t refer to anything in real life.

Schedule 1 is currently only available to PC players through Steam, which means there aren’t any crossplay features in the game. The title puts you in the shoes of a small-time drug dealer who’s new to town and must create an elaborate drug network from scratch. While the game lets you play out your Walter White fantasies, for now, you can only do so using a PC.

In this piece, we’ll take a look at the details of why there isn’t crossplay in Schedule 1 and whether that can change in the future.

As stated previously, the Early Access title is currently only available on PC via Steam. It hasn’t been released on the PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch consoles. Since the game is only playable on one platform, developers don’t have to worry about crossplay for now. Crossplay is only necessary when you want players from different platforms to enjoy the game together.

So, if Schedule 1 releases on consoles in the future, TVGS would need to implement a crossplay mechanic that will allow PC and console players to join the same session. This would be a great feature to have, especially if your friend is on a different platform and both of you want to play together.

Whether Schedule 1 will have crossplay support in the future depends on whether the game makes its way over to consoles eventually. As of this writing, developers haven’t revealed any plans for a console release of Schedule 1.

However, seeing the popularity of the game, they might want to expand their horizons and expand the player base by making a console port. If that happens, they will likely bring some form of crossplay support to the game to allow everyone to play together regardless of their platforms.
