  • Description: Drop down low to launch a fierce kick. Use with Skyborn Might for greater potency.
  • Variant I: While at above 90% Madness, Blink Kick restores stamina when used with Skyborn Might.
  • Variant II: Use with Skyborn Might to increase the potency of Blink Kick.

This is the default skill available for Longswords. This skill lets you duck and launch a fast kick at the enemy. Like most skills, it gets stronger when used with Skyborn Might.

Sword Counter

  • Description: Raise your blade to block the enemy’s attack. Block at the perfect moment to Deflect the attack instead.
    • Deflect: Blocking the enemy’s weapon at the perfect time deflects the enemy’s move fully.
  • Variant I: Deflect enemy attacks with Sword Counter to expose their Vulnerability even further.
  • Variant II: Deflecting attacks with Sword Counter enables you to launch a counterattack.

If you want to start parrying enemy attacks, then this is the first skill to acquire. Sword Counter does exactly what its name suggests. It blocks the enemy’s attack and even deflects it if your timing is perfect. Variant II of the discipline lets you counterattack upon every deflect, making it extremely effective if you have mastered the timing of deflects.

Crescent Moon

  • Description: Slash in a spiral to close in, then use again to leap backward and create some distance from the enemy. Time the backward leap right to also trigger Shimmer. Use with Skyborn Might for greater potency.
    • Shimmer: Evade at the correct time to avoid the enemy attack completely.
  • Variant I: Adds a third attack to the Crescent Moon skill when used with Skyborn Might. The third attack allows you to merge with the void to evade attacks.
  • Variant II: While above 90% Madness, Crescent Moon inflicts Burn buildup when used with Skyborn Might.

This is a great discipline and has decent variety in how it can be used. You can first close the distance between you and an enemy with the initial attack alone. Furthermore, if the enemy is still attacking, you can use it again to jump backward. This will allow you to deal some damage and then retreat. Variant I adds a third attack to this chain and helps you avoid attacks more easily.

Corrosive Flurry

  • Description: Strike with speed and precision. Rapid strikes can knock most foes back. Use with Skyborn Might for greater potency, causing Corruption buildup.
  • Variant I: Corrosive Flurry gains Crush when used with Skyborn Might.
    • Crush: Break through an enemy’s guard.
  • Variant II: Enables you to chain the fifth attack of a Longsword light attack combo after Corrosive Flurry’s second attack.

True to its name, this discipline allows you to land a flurry of attacks on the enemy and knock most of them backward. If you use Skyborn Might, the power of this discipline increases and also inflicts Corruption buildup. Both variants are effective, depending on your playstyle. Variant I can help you break through an enemy’s guarded stance, while Variant II lets you chain your light attack combo after Corrosive Flurry.

Crescent Arc

  • Description: Step backwards to quickly distance yourself from the enemy. Use at the opportune time to trigger Shimmer. Use with Skyborn Might for greater potency.
    • Shimmer: Evade at the correct time to avoid the enemy attack completely.
  • Variant I: Adds a second attack to the Crescent Arc skill. Leap forward and strike in all directions, dealing high damage. Use with Skyborn Might for greater potency.
  • Variant II: Enables you to chain a light attack after Crescent Arc’s first attack.

This is an evasive skill used to create distance between you and your foes. It also grants Shimmer if used correctly. Shimmer lets you further evade attacks completely if you dodge properly. Variant I of the skill is great for dealing damage against hordes of enemies. On the other hand, Variant II is great for keeping your combos going.
