Taedal’s Tower in Throne and Liberty is a boss rush dungeon where you have to go through 20 floors, each holding a challenging boss that tests a different facet of the skills you’ve acquired playing. The Exploding Flame Desert Wizard on Floor 18 of this tower tests your maneuverability by deploying a flurry of attacks and magic you must evade with urgency.

Exploding Flame Desert Wizard is part of the last trifecta of bosses in Taedal’s Tower. The Floor 18 (Swirling Firestorm) boss is ruthless and punishing, following the trend of increasing difficulty as you go up the tower. The boss requires you to be at level 43.
How to Defeat Floor 18 Exploding Flame Desert Wizard in Throne and Liberty
As the boss fight begins, you will notice a fire tornado swirling around the arena. Keep track of it as it will come into use later. In the meantime, you will want to avoid the fireball attacks the Wizard throws at you. You can parry these attacks as well.
The Wizard also has a fire wave attack that lits up the ground. This can be easily dodged but is easy to fumble with the tornado looming about. An acute understanding of your surroundings is a must in this boss fight.
When the boss teleports into the middle of the arena, it is your queue to brace for an impending high-damage super move. The Wizard will charge up a fireball and smash it into the ground for a large AOE attack and set the ground on fire. There is only one safe spot, but it will likely be out of reach. This is where the tornado comes in clutch. The tornado will boost your jump, allowing you to leap toward the safe spot and survive the attack.
Dodge the attacks and use the tornado to your advantage. Exploit the boss openings to win the fight.
Best Abilities to Use for Exploding Flame Desert Wizard
We recommend equipping the Precision Dash active skill. This Greatsword skill helps close the gap between you and the enemy and deals the damage based on this distance closed. The Wizard fights at a range and won’t know what hit her.
Best Weapons to Use for Exploding Flame Desert Wizard
We recommend sticking to the Greatsword for the Wizard. The boss has a variety of ranged attacks and is at a disadvantage at close-range fights. Take the fight up to the boss for an easy win.
