There are a lot of factors to take into consideration when build crafting for your character in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Player flexibility is paramount when it comes to Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and the game emphasizes this by letting you play as you wish. As you experiment around with your playstyle and build, you would want to optimize it to keep up with the mounting challenges. Doing so can be a little complicated. There are three classes to pick from, each having a sub-class of its own called specializations. Furthermore, each of these classes has weapons of its own to pick from. Once you’ve picked your class, specialization, and weapon of choice, you can then synergize your build with your party, further amplifying your stats. 1) Identify Your Preferred Playstyle
The first step when build crafting in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is to identify your playstyle. Do you prefer high DPS attacks or do you prefer one-shot heavy attacks? 2) Pick the Right Gear

This is especially necessary as you work your way through the mid and late-game stages of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. You maximize your damage output by matching your playstyle with the appropriate weapon or spell. For instance, if you prefer a high DPS playstyle as a mage, then lightning spells should be preferred over other spells.
3) Synergize With Your Companions
Your companions take to the field and accompany you in battle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Each companion brings their own set of skills to the table, and you have to identify which one goes best with your playstyle and build. For instance, if you play a Duelist Rogue, you want mages by your side for their support skills and healing abilities. Bring companions that complement your build and style.
4) Use the Accessories
Accessories such as amulets or rings are some of the best in-game items that provide bonus perks and boosts that can amplify your build. These bonuses can range from damage boosts to increased duration for abilities to health perks. Picking the right accessory can make even a relatively weaker build one of the best.
5) Choose the Right Faction
Dragon Age: The Veilguard features six factions in the game. Each of these factions comes with its own perks (and aesthetics). The Grey Wardens, for instance, increase your character’s base defense and health, while the Antivan Crows offer an extra potion slot. Match your build with the faction ability that suits you best.
