How Ranks Work in FragPunk

Unlike other hero shooters, FragPunk has a very cool system that changes the whole vibe when playing ranked. Players from Bronze to Platinum play Regular Ranked Matches. On the other hand, Diamond and the above lobbies play Advanced Ranked Matches.

Regular Ranked Matches

A regular ranked match has a total of eleven rounds. The first team to secure six rounds wins the game. Attackers have to plant the converter, while defenders have to defuse the convertor to secure a round. If there’s a tie, then players have 1v1 duels, and the last one standing is declared victorious. As for the Shard Card, both sides vote on the cards for the round.

Advanced Ranked Matches

Now, this is where the game becomes more competitive. Advanced matches have the same rules as regular matches aside from the card-picking system. After hitting the Diamond rank, every time a ranked match starts, both teams elect their own Card Captain. Moreover, there’s a banning/picking phase before the match starts, and the decisions are made by captains. This feature adds a new layer to the whole ranked scenario.
