Discover all of the weapons you use to gain ranks and proficiency in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, with all their bonuses and Battle Arts explained!
Weapons are essentially classes in Dynasty Warriors Origins. You start with the Sword and progress through the campaign, unlocking new weapons, new battle arts (abilities), and ranks (passives). This guide gives you all the rank bonuses for each weapon and what they unlock.
Weapons Ranks in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Weapon Proficiency is essentially experience gained after each battle. All weapons gain proficiency; however, the weapon you have equipped will level faster. Moreover, you use portable (consumable) items, accessories, and weapon traits to increase proficiency gains further. You can see your experience proficiency bar in the grey lower left of your User Interface with a weapon icon.
You should swap and use multiple weapons to increase your ranks evenly. Ranks unlock passive bonuses, battle arts, and combos. Most importantly, it allows you to get better skills (passives); therefore, experiment with each weapon when possible. You will initially only see nine weapons and eight ranks per weapon. However, after you beat the game post-game, content unlocks more ranks and one additional weapon, the Halberd.
Below, we list all the weapons and their rank bonuses in Dynasty Warriors Origins.
