Boruto is a sequel to the original Naruto series that was written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. Therefore, one can see characters from the original series in the newer installment. The next generation will always turn out stronger than the current ones, and this is a recurring theme in the Naruto series. Fans consider Rock Lee to be an exceptionally powerful shinobi, and the perfect marker to compare the newer generation of shinobis. Boruto And 3 Other Boruto Characters Who Are Stronger Than Rock Lee
Rock Lee isn’t the most gifted fighter because he rarely uses ninjutsu. Most powerful shinobis rely on ninjutsu, whereas Rock Lee perfected taijutsu, which is hand-to-hand combat. Despite not using much ninjutsu, he was able to take on some of the strongest shinobi. Furthermore, he was trained by Guy Sensei, one of the best taijutsu experts in the series. With that said, here are 4 characters who are stronger than Rock Lee:
1) Boruto
The protagonist of the series is exceptionally strong in the Two Blue Vortex manga. He has returned a stronger shinobi after the three-year time skip. During this time, he learned every single technique that the Uchiha Clan knew about. Furthermore, he devised a variant of the Rasengan that utilizes the rotational energy of the planet. The effects will last as long as the Earth continues to spin.
Additionally, he has Momoshiki Otsutsuki inside him, which means the Karma Mode version of this character would be incredibly powerful. His Jogan is also shrouded in mystery. However, the Otsutsuki God possesses this eye, which goes to show just how powerful it could be. Boruto can defeat prime Rock Lee without batting an eye.
2) Kawaki
Kawaki is currently facing “fraud” allegations after his brief fight with Boruto in the Two Blue Vortex manga. His true powers haven’t been revealed in the manga yet. However, he is at a level that can be compared to Boruto at the moment. Kawaki also has access to Karma Mode, which boosts his powers substantially.
Having Otsutsuki powers in your arsenal is no joke. He was trained by Jigen from a young age. Following that, his skills were polished in Konohagakure where he had mentors like Naruto himself. That being said, it might be a close competition if Rock Lee was in a position to use the Eight Gates. If he had opened it against the likes of Kawaki, the latter could potentially lose. However, with Karma in his arsenal, he could hold his ground against Rock Lee, and his opponent would die after a short while. This is one of the consequences of opening the Eight Gates – certain death.
3) Eida
Eida is incredibly powerful in the Boruto series. She also has access to Shinjutsu or divine technique – Omnipotence. Essentially, it allows Eida’s deepest desires to manifest into reality. This means she can quite literally alter reality if she wants to. Momoshiki Otsutsuki even stated that this was the most powerful divine technique known to the Otsutsuki. Additionally, Rock Lee will most likely get enchanted by Eida, simply because of her presence.
She has the ability to make most men develop strong romantic feelings. She also has the Senrigan, which allows her to look at anything at any point in time. Eida’s enchantment can be avoided if the person happens to be an Otsutsuki. However, Rock Lee isn’t one, and there is no way he can beat Eida in any scenario.
4) Daemon
Daemon is one of the trickiest fighters to go up against. He has the innate ability to reflect any attack on his opponent. If someone inflicts damage to Daemon, they themselves are on the receiving end. It’s worse if his opponent has any intent to kill. If Rock Lee approached him with the intent to kill him, then he’d end up dying almost instantly. This is one of the most broken abilities in the Boruto series.
To make things worse, he is exceptionally skilled in taijutsu. However, Rock Lee might be better than Daemon in this regard. However, it’s useless because Daemon’s ability to reflect kicks in automatically, as long as he makes contact with his opponent. Rock Lee simply cannot win against the likes of Daemon.
Moegi and 3 Other Boruto Characters Who Are Weaker Than Rock Lee
1) Moegi
Boruto fans will be interested to know that Moegi has Wood Release in the animanga series. However, she isn’t an impressive shinobi per se. She hasn’t really received much screen time to begin with. There were flashes of brilliance every now and then. However, that isn’t enough to rattle someone like Rock Lee. He is far too observant and analytical in his approach to fighting. He rarely lets his opponents’ attacks get to him.
Moegi has taken on the role of a mentor in the series. Therefore, her focus isn’t particularly on combat, but on polishing her students’ skills. Rock Lee would defeat Moegi without even having to release any of the Eight Gates. He could release one or two if he wanted to. However, it wouldn’t be necessary against someone like Moegi.
2) Konohamaru
Konohamaru, much like Moegi, is more of a mentor than a powerful shinobi fighting on the frontlines. That being said, he is one of the few people who learned the Rasengan technique. He looked up to Naruto and was inspired to learn a skill that his mentor mastered at a young age. He is strong and he can take on threats that pose a risk to the village. However, he isn’t anywhere near Rock Lee’s level, because his opponent has surpassed the likes of Guy Sensei.
He is a well-balanced fighter who can use sealing techniques and a variety of moves that are considered to be every shinobi’s bread and butter. However, Rock Lee’s speed and power will overwhelm him almost immediately. Rock Lee’s speed cannot be paralleled, and he packs quite a punch. Konohamaru will need everything he has in his disposal just to stay in the fight.
3) Chocho Akimichi
Chocho Akimichi is not the most exciting character in the series, and her combat abilities aren’t all that impressive in the show. She uses Lightning Release, which gives her the option to employ techniques like Thunderclap Fist. She also has access to the Akimichi Clan techniques, allowing her to convert calories to chakra. Based on her fighting style, Rock Lee might be surprised by her endurance. She can prolong the fight because her ability to withstand attacks is far better than most shinobis.
However, Rock Lee’s power will give him a breakthrough. Furthermore, she will be unable to land attacks on him because he’s incredibly nimble and fast. This is a terrible matchup for Chocho, and Rock Lee would defeat her in an instant.
4) Inojin
Inojin Yamanaka has his father’s intelligence and his mother’s temperament. He is a strong shinobi with a bright future. However, his recent feats in the Two Blue Vortex don’t show any particular improvement in his abilities. He nearly died to Jura because he rushed in without thinking about the consequences. He can use the Yamanaka Clan’s techniques that target the opponent’s mind. This could catch Rock Lee off guard momentarily. However, he has seen Inojin’s mother fight and therefore knows the workings of this technique.
Rock Lee’s battle IQ is far superior and his experience makes him an efficient fighter. This in turn would allow him to neutralize Inojin rather quickly, even before he can use the mind-controlling techniques. Rock Lee’s pace and power will be too much for Inojin to handle.

Rock Lee is exceptionally powerful and disciplined. There are only a handful of the current generation fighters that can take him on. However, there are a select few who are taking on literal Gods. These characters are equipped to take on Rock Lee because their ninjutsu prowess can suppress his Taijutsu-based attacks.
