Here is a guide on where you can find the Crane Control Keycard so you can sneak inside the Skethermoor Prison in Atomfall.
In Atomfall, getting the Crane Control Room keycard opens up a stealthy route to infiltrate Skethermoor Prison. Additionally, it also unlocks a handy shortcut to the prison interior. Most high-security rooms in the game require a key to unlock, meaning you will have to find these keys to make progress.
Alternatively, you can gain access to the prison without everyone getting hostile by befriending Captain Sims. However, based on your playthrough, you might not want to complete the Protocol leader’s quest. This is where the stealthy route comes into play.

Where Is the Crane Control Keycard in Atomfall
The keycard for the Crane Control Room is located on a dead body somewhere in The Interchange. But you must restore power in Data Store B first to make retrieving it less complicated. Follow the step-by-step guide below:

Enter the Interchange
Start at the Skethermoor Interchange entrance, which is located inside the Skethermoor Prison complex. When you enter, go down the left-hand staircase.
Head to the Maintenance Room
If the bottom left door is locked, go through the compromised Quarantine Seal, come around, and open the door from the other side.
Enter Data Store Bravo, go down to the lower level, and proceed through the next door. The previously locked door should now be open on your left.
Retrieve the Keycard
Within the Maintenance Room, find a dead body. Take the keycard from the body to acquire the Crane Control Room Keycard. You can also grab the “Take Over Crane Operations” note. The note explains how a shipping container is blocking the Detention Quarter entrance.

Restoring Power to the Crane Controls
With the keycard obtained, go to the Crane Control Room to control the crane and remove the obstruction.
Find the Crane Control Room
From the garage where the keycard was discovered, proceed straight ahead and up the stairs. Afterward, turn left at the top. You will find a hallway with Data Store Delta to the right and the Crane Control Room to the left.
Restore Power Using the Signal Redirector
Within the Crane Control Room, you’ll observe that the Crane Control Lever has no power. Use the Signal Redirector on the power junction close to the corkboard. Next, aim for two more ceiling junctions so they light up to completely restore power to the lever.
Operate the Crane
With power reinstated, activate the lever to push aside the blocking shipping container. This opens up the entrance to the Detention Quarter.
