Everything you need to know about the best Colour of Lumina farming location in Clair Obscur Expedition 33, how to unlock it, and more.

The Colour of Lumina is the most important resource in Clair Obscur Expedition 33, right alongside Attribute Points and weapons. It’s essentially used to upgrade the amount of Luminas an Expeditioner can carry and needs to be allocated manually to each party member. While you will obtain a ton of these resources as you progress through the main story, the amount you get isn’t going to be enough if you plan on tackling the endgame dungeons and the Endless Towers.
Following the main story alone also will not allow you to upgrade the Lumina capacity for all your party members simultaneously. However, similarly to XP, there are ways to farm Colour of Lumina in the game.
Here’s a comprehensive guide on the best farming location for Colour of Lumina in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
Note: This article contains spoilers for the main story of Clair Obscur Expedition 33. Furthermore, this guide is meant for players who have reached the endgame. The location mentioned here unlocks only after reaching Act 3.
Best Location to Farm Colour of Lumina in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

The best Colour of Lumina farming location in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is Renoir’s Drafts. However, there’s a catch: this area is only accessible after you reach the endgame, i.e., Act 3. So, reach Act 3 and then max out your relationship with Esquie. Thankfully, increasing your relationship with Esquie isn’t particularly difficult or time-consuming.
Once you reach Relationship Level 7 with Esquie, he will unlock the ability to swim underwater. Now, head to the area between the Visages and Sirene. During the intersection of Visages and Sirene, you will find a portal in the water.
Head through the portal to reach Renoir’s Drafts, home to the Abyss and its keeper, Simon. Furthermore, it’s one of the endgame areas in the game with a recommended level requirement of 85–90. Make sure you head to Renoir’s Draft well-prepared, and at Level 80 or above. The farming route for Colour of Lumina starts right from the Entrance resting point. From the resting point, head south and clear the first mob. After the first mob, head in the opposite direction and look for a building with a grapple point.
Use the grapple point to reach the adjacent area that has another mob of three Contorsionniste enemies. Defeat the mob to obtain up to 3 Colour of Lumina. Repeat this process multiple times to obtain roughly 30 Colour of Lumina in less than 20 minutes of farming. How To Use the Colour of Lumina

The Colour of Lumina can be used via the Resting Flags in Clair Obscur Expedition 33. At any of the resting points, select the Upgrade Expedition Resources option. From the upgrade screen, head to the Luminas option and select the character you want to upgrade. Once you select a character (party member), simply press A or X (on Xbox or PlayStation controller, respectively) to use the Colour of Lumina for upgrades. Note that you can also buy Colour of Lumina from merchants across the Continent as well.
However, merchants have a limited stock of these resources. And in the endgame, farming is the only viable way to get more Colour of Lumina.
