This guide gives gear, skills, champion points, and consumables for an ESO Arcanist PvP Healer Build!

Best ESO Builds: Update 38 and Necrom chapter

This build has been updated for the Update 40 patch of the Elder Scrolls Online.

Why Should You Play the ESO Arcanist PvP Healer Build?

The ESO Arcanist PvP Healer Build is an incredible class to play in the group. This build has many shields. As a result, great survivability. Arcanist’s Crux system makes a unique playstyle with three well-equipped skill trees and complete tools for good damage, healing and survivability. Yet, the Arcanist’s downside can be a weak resource sustain and lack of the burst healing ability, thus can be hard to manage for beginners. However, as long as you have the class passives unlocked, that should not be too much of an issue.

Below is a general PvP Guide that can help anyone understand and developer their PvP knowledge and skill. This video is applicable for every build and should be viewed if you want general ESO PvP knowledge that applies to all aspects, Battlegrounds, Cyrodiil and Imperial City.

ESO Arcanist PvP Healer Build Playstyle

The healing in PvP is different from PvE. Your purpose is to provide support, buffs and healing to you and your group and to be the tankiest player on the battlefield. If you want to survive in ESO PvP, you must keep your buffs and healing over time at all times rolling. As a result, the build provides tools within the gear and skills to help you achieve all your tasks as a healer.

Use the following rotation as the starter point. After, apply your buffs on cooldown for the best, highest healing and survivability. Use the environment to your advantage. Never stay in an open field, exposing yourself to damage makes you easy to target and kill. Hide behind objects to lower the pressure. If they can’t see you, they can’t hit you!

Resources and Sustain

With this Healer Arcanist Build, you should have plenty of resources. However, if you run out of magica, do a heavy attack and return to your rotation. Try to use both resource pools (stamina and magicka) to sustain. Remember that a heavy attack on off-balance enemies will return double the resources. While casting your abilities, be sure to do light and heavy attacks in between, as both help you regenerate ultimate, proc weapon enchantments and specific healer set bonuses. Also, always use the suggested food and potions as they significantly increase your damage, survivability, and resource sustain.

Arcanist’s Unique Playstyle

As an Arcanist, you’ll need to generate and consume Cruxes to constantly enhance your stats, so keep close attention to it. The Evolving Runemend skill is the crux builder that also gives you damage reduction for each crux. Next, you’ll be using skills that consume Cruxes, such as Impervious Runeward for an extra shield and healing, also Chakram of Destiny or Tentacular Dread. Your goal is to build up 3x Cruxes, reduce the damage taken, and increase the healing thanks to passives and abilities.

Lastly, always use suggested food and potions. They will improve your survivability and provide more healing per second to your group. Switch the Mundus Stone and skills in and out until you achieve what works best for you!

Front Bar: Restoration Staff

We use restoration staff for main healing abilities.

Blessing Of Restoration (Morph of Blessing of Protection | Skill Line : Restoration Staff) – Very important AoE heal that applies Minor Berserk and Minor Resolve, increasing damage output and resistance for you and your allies. Apply these buffs up as much as possible, so use ability as your main spammable.

Evolving Runemend (Morph of Runemend | Skill Line : Curative Runeforms) – Another good heal and panic button

Reconstructive Domain (Morph of Arcanist’s Domain | Skill Line : Curative Runeforms) – Super healing and buff damage AoE that provides important protection to you and your group.

Illustrious Healing (Morph of Grand Healing | Skill Line : Restoration Staff) – Great AoE heal over time ability with a big radius. Keep this heal up, especially when stationary. Also used to proc sets requiring a ground cast ability.

Radiating Regeneration (Morph of Regeneration | Skill Line : Restoration Staff) – Great multi-targeting heal over time ability, especially for mobile encounters, also helps to proc specific healer sets. Spam ability to cover more targets if needed.

Life Giver (Morph of Panacea | Skill Line : Restoration Staff) – Massive Healing for you and your group member that also automatically casts Regeneration, Blessing of Protection, and Steadfast Ward. Make sure you have those restoration skills unlocked. In a bigger group, swap it for Reviving Barrier.

Back Bar: Destruction Staff – Ice Staff

PvP Healers can use all three options, and the choice depends on the situation and content you are trying to complete. Ice staff and shield will give you extra block mitigation. As a PvP healer, this may save you and your group many times.

  1. Restoration Staff
  2. Ice Staff
  3. Sword and Shield

Chakram of Destiny (Morph of Chakram Shields | Skill Line : Curative Runeforms) – For an extra shield and Crux consumption. You can swap this ability for Tentacular Dread to debuff enemies.

Cruxweaver Armor (Morph of Fatewoven Armor | Skill Line : Soldier of Apocrypha) – Armor buff that last 30 seconds. This also can build crux’s and provide minor breach reduction armor.
