ESO One Bar PvP Magicka Sorcerer Build
The ESO One Bar PvP Magicka Sorcerer Build is for players that are looking to play battlegrounds content with high mobility, burst and survivability. The learning curve using a Magicka Sorcerer comes from understanding how and when to apply shields for survival but has a high ceiling for domination. Once you begin to learn the skills and timing, you can burst down individual players or groups while being able to survive. We also included flexible gear options for those with or without Oakensoul Ring mythic.

Last Updated March 24th, 2023 for ESO Update 37, Scribes of Fate. The shield-stacking sorcerer with high burst still works in modern game-play. However, the build struggles into being pigeonholed into purely single target-focused damage. This build can do some nasty damage at range, but it’s hard to master because, in a split second, someone can catch up to you. Vampire Mist Form now gives 15-second mobility tool similar to streak, and it will be harder to survive, especially against traditionally slow classes like the Dragonknight. However, the high burst single target and execute playstyle works well in open world and battlegrounds
This build’s most important aspect is playing it with the Oakensoul Ring mythic. Your build will look similar in gear choices to the stamina version. However, keep in mind that since the changes to the Mythic and Empowered Buff, One Bar PvP builds have become much weaker.
The Best PvP One Bar Magicka Sorcerer – Heavy Attack build for Sorcerer
In ESO, the One Bar Sorcerer Build is perfect for everyone, and literally. Great for beginners, veterans, players of any age and experience. It’s easy to understand and doesn’t require bar swapping – the game element that simplifies the gameplay without hurting the potential damage per second. If a heavy attack builds playstyle and following “pros” is what you are looking for, this build is for you!
Pros | Cons |
Simple offensive rotation | Extremely high skill cap to max potential |
Highly mobile | Constant shielding required |
Consistently great across all ESO patches |

Skills
Front Bar Fire > Lightning Staff
Front Bar Weapon Options
- Lightning Staff: provides easy fully charged heavy attacks for resource sustain and AoE damage when channeling.
- Fire Staff: most single target damage and pairs well with elemental users.
Streak (Morph of Bolt Escape | Skill line: Storm Calling) - This ability is obviously an on-demand mobility tool. It’s used offensively to drop block by streaking through targets. You can also use it as a get away tool when in trouble. I try to dodge, streak together to use both resource pools for escaping.
Crushing Shock (Morph of Force shock | Skill line: Destruction Staff) - Your main spammable
Hardened Ward (Morph of Conjured Ward | Skill line: Daedric Summoning) - survivability when our health dips or is likely to dip cast. The trick to playing a sorc is constantly swapping to apply this buff then going on offensive for 6 seconds, rinse and repeat. If you don't, you'll be exposed because you have lower resistance than other builds. So either double bar or get use to bar swapping constantly.
Crystal Fragments (Morph of Crystal Shard | Skill line: Dark Magic) - This is our main spammable that can pro and instant cast. Keep spamming this or birds to nuke enemies.
Summon Twilight Matriarch (Morph of Summon Winged Twilight | Skill line: Daedric Summoning) - ncredible damage for merely slotting and can activate it as another “DoT” when boss is above 50% health. You can use alternative morph for massive burst healing. [FLEX for non pet build] Camouflaged Hunter (morph of Expert Hunter | Guild/Fighters Guild skill line): Slotting this skill gives you increase weapon critical and minor berserk when you critical attacking from the flank along with 3% spell damage for slotting
Shooting Star (Morph of Meteor | Skill line: Mages Guild) - Meteor is great for AoE nukes especially when you streak through groups. Single target nukes go with Energy overload and duels or open world go with Greater Storm Atro.
