You have to fly with Esquie in the Northern Region (ACT 3) to access the Serpenphare boss fight. The Serpenphare will be flying around in the air and will be hard to miss. The preferred Party Level is around 70 or 80. You will have to tank a lot if parrying and dodging are not your forte.

The Serpenphare’s unique ability to absorb all the AP of your party members will not let you cast combo spells or big AP damaging abilities. So, the best way to counter it is low AP abilities that hit multiple times. The Serpenphare brings up its shields after every turn, so you will have to hit it multiple times to deal damage to it.

Similarly, a strategy that could be used is to tank all the Serpenphare’s hits and wait for it to explode. The explosion gimmick is caused by the Serpenphare absorbing too much AP. But your party also has to dodge it, else it deals massive damage that might just end your party in two turns.

You can try shooting the boss too, as it is one of the best ways to deal with shields in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Additionally, the Serpenphare also brings out more enemies that your party should deal with as fast as possible. Other than that, the Serpenphare will attack ferociously with combos that you have to parry or dodge.

Serpenphare’s explosion ability deals damage to your party on the tenth explosion. Make sure to dodge it, or you might have to go hit-less the rest of the boss fight. Other than that, most of Serpenphare’s attacks are announced and fairly easy to dodge.

Tips for Beating Serpenphare

Your party is not so dependent on the boss fight. And you only need to equip the best pictos and abilities that hit more than two times. Abilities like Lune’s Thunderfall, Sciel’s Sealed Fate, and one of the most important Break abilities, Monoco’s Ramasseur Bonk. This ability fills up the boss break bar by 20%. Building up for dealing massive damage to the Serpenphare.
