Clair Obscur Expedition 33 presents a pretty big semi-open world, where you can unearth several secrets if you devote time to exploration. Optional bosses, for instance, are lurking around various corners of the world, and finding them will mean getting useful loot and earning lots of experience.

How To Find the Chromatic Ramasseur in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
The Chromatic Ramasseur exists in the Visages region. Within this area, go to the Sadness Vale, and before you reach the Sadness Mask here, you need to turn to the left and follow the path to reach this optional boss. Keep in mind that you can only get to the Visages region once you have unlocked Esquie’s ability to swim through the coral reefs.

How To Defeat Chromatic Ramasseur in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Right off the bat, you need to understand that the Chromatic Ramasseur in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is not like any other enemy in the game. Shortly after the fight begins, the optional boss will begin attacking furiously and never stop. So, you won’t get any turns to attack it. That’s how the boss fight has been designed by developers. So, don’t think that you are underdeveloped for the fight. Instead, focus on learning its attack types and patterns. This will allow you to keep parrying its attacks and building up the break bar.
Chromatic Ramasseur has two attack types. The first is a combo attack, where the boss either strikes four times in quick succession or eight times. You’ll have to parry these at the correct time. Always be prepared to parry the strikes eight times because you can’t tell when Cromatic Ramasseur will attack with four or eight hits.
The second attack type is extremely devastating and has a small parry window. If you mistime the parry, this attack can kill you with one hit. After a mortal hit, the boss charges up its attack further and unleashes an even more devastating attack. We suggest simply dodging out of the way of this one, since parrying doesn’t really provide any benefit.
After parrying or dodging most of its attacks, you’ll fill up its break bar. The boss will become stunned, paving the way for you to cause maximum damage without fear of retaliation. Make sure you unleash the most powerful attacks while the boss remains in the stunned state.
