With the release of Update 5 in Anime Vanguards on Roblox, many strong new units have been added to the game and are available to unlock. Most of them are inspired by fan-favorite anime like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, Dandadan, and more.
This is the third major update that Anime Vanguards has rolled out, and it reworks the entire tier list completely, as there are new legendary units. Whether you are a pro or just starting out, this tier list will help you in making your deck, OP!
Updated Tier List for Anime Vanguards Roblox
In this guide, we have prepared an updated tier list based on Update 5 and each unit’s powers. The list also contains all the older and newer units, so let’s dive into the complete Anime Vanguards Tier List for Update 5 and see which units are currently dominating the meta!
SS Tier Units
These units are at the top of the list. Most are evolved versions, and they come with the best damage, abilities, and passives that are perfect for any game mode.

Divalo (Requiem) is currently the rarest and most powerful unit in Anime Vanguard Roblox. He can slow enemies (just like in the anime), deals 4-figure base damage, and is a walking nuke; if you can pull this one, it would make your loadout way too overpowered.
S Tier
These units may not top the charts like SS-tier units, but they’re extremely viable and powerful, especially with the right setup.

- Rengoku (Purgatory)

- Okorun (Turbo) – NEW!

Newcomers like Chaso (Blood Curse) and Jag-o offer great value—especially if you haven’t evolved them yet. Veterans like Akazo and Cha-In still hold their own post-nerf.
A Tier
A-tier units in Anime Vanguard Roblox are solid choices for mid-to-late games, especially if you’re low on evolution resources. Some are unevolved versions of SS/S units.

Sprint Wagon is the only Epic unit to make it this high—he offers exceptional ROI. Todu (Unleashed) and Julias (Eisplosion) shine with great passives and AoE damage.
B Tier
These units are okay for early- or mid-game progression, but you’ll want to replace them once better options are available.

Even Legendary units like Nobaba and Itochi don’t make much of an impact here. These units are “okay” at best—use them temporarily.
C Tier
These units offer low base stats and poor growth. Even if you’re a fan of their anime counterpart, they’re better off on the bench.

Some surprises here, like Song Jinwu, who’s usually strong in other games. Sadly, his base version just doesn’t hit the mark here.
D Tier
D-tier units are the weakest in the game. Whether you’re new or experienced, it’s best not to waste time or resources on them.

They might look cool, but these units aren’t worth your grind, as they are very common. So you can save your Gold and summon better ones.
Update 5 brings a lot of changes to Anime Vanguards, with brand-new units climbing to the top of the meta. Evolved versions dominate the higher tiers, but even some regular Mythical and Legendary units are worth grinding for.
Pro Tip: Focus on Upgrading units such as Tuji, Gujo, Jag-o, and Divalo (Requiem) to get a massive Power Boost!!
