Claws of the Wolf is a void rapid-fire frame pulse rifle reintroduced during Episode Echoes. Claws of the Wolf is an old favorite from the Iron Banner and returns with some pretty great rolls. While not necessarily a powerhouse, this pulse rifle has some great potential in PvP. Rapid-fire frames tend to be hit-or-miss with other effectiveness in general but are seldom a bad choice.

The best perks for Claws of the Wolf PVE God Roll are Arrowhead Brake, Appended Mag, Repulsor Brace, and Destabilizing Rounds. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

Claws of the Wolf is decent in PvE, but it doesn’t bring anything unique or interesting with its best rolls. Arrowhead Brake is very useful to keep the recoil in check on all rapid-fire frame pulse rifles. Rapid-fire frame pulses fire through ammo very quickly, so Appended Mag is nice to add some extra rounds into the magazine. The best combination is the standard void combination of Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds, but you could opt to go for Rampage or Kill Clip instead.
Unfortunately, Claws of the Wolf is just not anything great to write home about in PvE. It is pretty standard fair for a void pulse rifle. There are no other rapid-fire pulses that can run the void wombo-combo, so if that is something you are looking for it fills that niche.

The best perks for Claws of the Wolf PVP God Roll are Arrowhead Brake, Ricochet Rounds, Headseeker, and Kill Clip. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

Claws of the Wolf may not be super powerful in PvE, but it does have some great potential in PvP. We still need to take Arrowhead Brake to mitigate the horrible recoil pattern, but with everything else we want to prioritize range and target acquisition. Headseeker is a nice perk to have in PvP, making the pulse rifles TTK more forgiving. Kill Clip is a PvP favorite and plays really well on this pulse rifle. Rampage and Zen Moment are also decent options in Column 4.
Rapid-fire pulses are great options in mid-range PvP maps. They lack the range to perform in long-range maps but can destroy opposition at mid-range. If you are the first to get the shot off in a gunfight, it is almost always a sure win. A team of players team-shooting with this thing can shred through opponents quickly and efficiently. It doesn’t do anything unique or special, but Claws of the Wolf is a powerful, easy-to-use option.
How to Get Claws of the Wolf in Destiny 2
Claws of the Wolf can be obtained from any Iron Banner Reward source once you reach Rank 4 and claim the weapon. Once the gun has been earned you can focus it at Lord Saladin for Iron Banner Engrams and Glimmer. Iron Banner is a limited-time game mode that comes once every couple of months for two weeks. Each week a different mode of Iron Banner is featured.
