Learn about the Corrasion God Roll for PVE and PVP content, the best perks, and how to get it in Destiny 2!
This guide has been updated for Episodes Echoes and the Final Shape Expansion.
Corrasion is an arc heavy burst frame pulse rifle introduced in Episode: Echoes Act 2. Heavy burst pulse rifles have a very high damage per second value in PvE and get reduced flinch, a boon in PvP. The Corrasion can be crafted with the perfect perk options. Heavy burst rifles only fire two hard-hitting shots that do a lot of damage but tend to have lower mag sizes than most primaries. In this guide, we will discuss the PvE and PvP god rolls and how to get the Corrasion pulse rifle.

Corrasion PvE Breakdown
Heavy burst pulse rifles like Corrasion can be solid options in PvE with their high DPS and high range. While they have less ammo in their magazine than most pulse rifles, their damage per bullet is enough to compensate for that. Mods and traits that increase the weapon’s magazine size are solid choices on this weapon archetype as they mitigate this weakness.
Corrasion is the first arc heavy burst pulse rifle in Destiny 2 and is arguably the easiest of this weapon archetype to acquire as of the writing of this guide. In PvE activities, heavy burst pulse rifles benefit from additional Reload Speed, Recoil Direction, and magazine size. Take perks like Arrowhead Brake and Appended Mag to boost these stats to get the most out of the weapon. There are so many great options for perks on this weapon. Column 3 has Pugilist, Enlightened Action, and High Impact Reserves. Column 4 is also absolutely stacked with several damage perks and the ever-powerful Voltshot. The Enlightened Action/Voltshot combination is probably the best of the bunch in most content, but there are several other great options as well.
The Corrasion pulse rifle will probably be a more niche choice for some, but it will be a powerful one. Its biggest weakness is simply that it shares a weapon slot with its seasonal cousin, the Aberrant Action, which is sure to be a mainstay in people’s loadouts. That does not mean it won’t have a place though especially for Arc build synergy or activities that require a bit more range. Corrasion is a solid weapon that is worth getting.

Corrasion PvP Breakdown
Heavy burst pulse rifles like Corrasion are great PvP weapons that tend to be either loved or hated by their user. At long ranges, they can be a powerful option with their high range and damage potential, but they suffer in mid to short-range against faster-firing weapons. This has lead to them being more controversial than a lot of other weapon archetypes in PvP.
Corrasion is the first arc heavy burst pulse rifle in Destiny 2 and is arguably the easiest of this weapon archetype to acquire as of the writing of this guide. In PvP activities, heavy burst pulse rifles benefit from additional Handling, Reload Speed, or, like most weapons in PvP, Range. While it already has a very high range stat, perks like Corkscrew Rifling and Accurized Rounds can max out its range stat when combined with a Range masterwork. While the Corrasion isn’t as stacked in PvP perks as PvE ones it still has some great options. In Column 3 we have Perpetual Motion or High-Impact Reserves to increase either is ease of use or forgiveness. Column 4 gives us High Ground and Eye of the Storm which are decent options as well. Swashbuckler is also a great option to get the Time To Kill of the weapon down.
Corrasion looks like a solid option for PvP play. It can be just as good as its heavy burst options Nullify and Aisha’s Cure. Unlike those options, it does not have an Adept version, but its ease of acquirement makes it a more palatable option to chase. If you are unsure if you are a lover or hater of this archetype, craft yourself a PvP Corrasion and give it a go to see if you like it.
