Destiny 2 Ergo Sum God Roll and How to Get

Ergo Sum is a randomly rolled exotic sword released after the completion of the Final Shape expansion. This sword is very unique as it drops with random perks, frames, and elements. Its perks are copycat perks from other exotic weapons like Wolfpack Rounds from Gjallarhorn or Arc Conductor from Riskrunner. Furthermore, it is available in multiple frames including a new frame called Wave Sword Frame that functions similarly to wave frame grenade launchers. Also, it can roll in all three of the energy slot elements Solar, Arc, and Void. Lastly, it’s an energy slot sword meaning it takes special ammo rather than the traditional heavy ammo. All of this combines to provide a truly one-of-a-kind weapon that is sure to cause a shake-up in both PVE and PVP meta.

Ergo Sum PvE God Roll

Destiny 2 Ergo Sum PVE God Roll

The best perks for Ergo Sum PVE God Roll are a Jagged Edge, Swordmaster’s Guard, Aggressive Frame, and Wolfpack Rounds. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

The following list is the best perks for Ergo Sum PVE God Roll in Destiny 2:

  • Blade: Jagged Edge
  • Guard: Swordmaster’s Guard
  • Frame: Aggressive Frame
  • Exotic Perk: Wolfpack Rounds
  • Origin Trait: Transcendent Duelist

Due to the unique charging nature of this word, Ergo Sum has access to different perks than we are used to on swords. However, the blades and guard are standard options so Jagged Edge and Swordmaster’s Guard are the best for overall damage. The Aggressive Frame gives our heavy attack with the sword massive damage while we activate the exotic perk. Lastly, Wolfpack Rounds provide us and other nearby sword wielders with Wolfpack Rounds for our swords vastly increasing our damage output.

These perks combine to provide us with one of the highest-damage special weapons in the game while being incredibly easy to use. Also, with fantastic ammo economy and a fun weapon to use Ergo Sum is a must-pick-up.

Ergo Sum PvP God Roll

Destiny 2 Ergo Sum PVP God Roll

The best perks for Ergo Sum PVP God Roll are a Jagged Edge, Swordmaster’s Guard, Wave Sword Frame, and Sacred Flame. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

The following list is the best perks for Ergo Sum PVP God Roll in Destiny 2:

  • Blade: Jagged Edge
  • Guard: Swordmaster’s Guard
  • Frame: Wave Sword Frame
  • Exotic Perk: Sacred Flame
  • Origin Trait: Transcendent Duelist

Similar to PVE we are going with Jagged Edge and Swordmaster’s Guard for maximum damage per swing. Also, we are going with the new sword frame, Wave Frame Sword, that sends a wave of energy forward on a heavy attack and then allows us to lunge forward with a light attack. Lastly, our exotic perk is Sacred Flame, upon hitting a target with the heavy attack, it marks them and a light attack afterward causes them to explode.

This is the first special ammo sword in the game so it is unknown how well it will function in PVP and whether it will be a meta option. A lot of PVP players vastly prefer shotguns or snipers for most weapon loadouts. However, Ergo Sum can provide a nice alternative to other special weapons should it be engaging and fun to use in PVP.
