Destiny 2: Facet of Bravery – Prismatic Subclass Fragment

Prismatic Subclass offers 21 fragments for all three classes in Destiny 2, including the Facet of Bravery.

Destiny 2 - Facet of Bravery – Prismatic Subclass Fragment

Players gain access to the new Prismatic subclass with the Final Shape expansion. Firstly, it’s unique and combines specific class abilities for different damage types. Using dark and light abilities, buffs or debuffs fill two corresponding meters, and once they are fully charged, your character enters the special state called Transcendence. Moreover, Transcendence functions like a mini super and busts your defense and offensive capabilities.

Once you unlock a Facet of Bravery Prismatic Fragment, it becomes available for all your characters.

Facet of Bravery in Destiny 2

The facet of Bravery is a new fragment in the Prismatic subclass introduced with the Final Shape expansion in Destiny 2. Here’s an in-depth look at what this fragment does, its benefits, and how it can be effectively used in different builds and gear setups.

The Facet of Bravery fragment grants the following effects:

  • Defeating targets with grenades grants Volatile Rounds to your Void weapons.
  • Defeating targets with powered melee final blows grants Unraveling Rounds to your Strand weapons.

Benefits and Usage

The Facet of Bravery is helpful for all classes, enhancing the effectiveness of Void and Strand weapons by providing powerful ammunition effects with all ability kills. For optimal use of the Facet of Bravery, focus on rotating between grenade and powered melee kills to maintain a consistent supply of Volatile and Unraveling Rounds. This fragment is particularly effective in activities with high enemy density, such as Strikes, Nightfalls, and Gambit.

Hunters

Destiny 2: All Hunter Prismatic Subclass Abilities

This fragment is ideal for Hunters who frequently use grenades and/or powered melee abilities in combat. Especially if you often switch between Void and Strand weapons to maintain a steady flow of ammunition. Grenades such as Magnetic Grenade will grant Volatile Rounds, while powered melee abilities like Threaded Spike can grant Unraveling Rounds.

Titans

Similarly, Titans can benefit from this fragment by using Void grenades. Pulse, Glacier, or Thermite Grenade provides Volatile Rounds, boosting Void weapon damage. Powered melee abilities such as Hammer Strike or Thunderclap can grant Unraveling Rounds for Strand weapons.

Warlocks

Warlocks are known for their grenade usage, but if you combine them with powered melee abilities, you’ll get the constant way to trigger the effects of the Facet of Bravery fragment. Void grenades like Vortex or Coldsnap Grenade will grant Volatile Rounds, while powered melee abilities such as Pocket Singularity can grant Unraveling Rounds for Strand weapons.

Gear Synergies

To maximize the potential of the Facet of Bravery, consider the following gear and mods:

  • Hunters: Exotics like Young Ahamkara’s Spine (increases Tripmine Grenade duration and blast radius) can be paired with Facet of Bravery to maximize grenade efficiency and trigger Volatile Rounds. For powered melee, Liar’s Handshake can quickly grant Unraveling Rounds for Strand weapons.
  • Titans: Exotics like Armamentarium (grants an additional grenade charge) can enhance the frequency of triggering Volatile Rounds. Synthoceps can boost melee damage, making it easier to achieve powered melee final blows and grant Unraveling Rounds.
  • Warlocks: Exotics like Contraverse Hold (improves charging and holding Void grenades) can enhance Void grenade usage and trigger Volatile Rounds more often. Claws of Ahamkara can be used to increase the effectiveness of powered melee abilities, ensuring Unraveling Rounds for Strand weapons.
