The latest event in Destiny 2 is Heavy Metal, where teams of three players fight it out through vehicular combat. And, like previous events, this one has a title that you can earn too, known as the Heavy Metal title. You’ll just need to complete a few triumphs, such as taking down 150 enemies in the playlist and killing multiple enemies before dying a specific number of times.

However, for hardcore players, merely unlocking the title won’t be enough. They’ll want to also gild the event title. This guide explains the process of the Heavy Metal title gilding in Destiny 2.

To gild the title that you’ve already unlocked, you’ll need to complete four additional triumphs.

Atop the Throne

You’ll unlock this triumph by reaching the top of your squad’s leaderboard at least 10 times. Make sure to play your life and grab any of the Tokens that drop from enemy players. These methods should help you claim the top spot easily.

Usurper

For this triumph, you’ll have to slay the opponent team’s leader at least 20 times in Heavy Metal mode. You can identify the leader by the golden hue that appears around the vehicle of the top scorer on the other team. Target that vehicle to take down the leader and unlock this triumph.

Salvo Sender

You have access to a powerful secondary weapon that can do major damage but has a slow firing rate. You have to take down at least 25 enemies with this secondary weapon to unlock this particular triumph. Make sure you fire the secondary weapon at opponents that already have low health.

Valuable Legacy

Kill the leader of the opposing team and collect their tokens 20 times to achieve this triumph. You can increase your chances of this by being close to the leader while dealing the final blow to them, so you can easily pick up their token.

When you’ve achieved all four of these triumphs, you will finish the process of Heavy Metal title gilding in Destiny 2.
