The ongoing event in Destiny 2 brings a brand new playlist that focuses heavily on 3v3 vehicular combat. Dubbed, Heavy Metal, this playlist features battles between Brig mechs and Drake tanks in the Europa combat arena. Competing in and finishing the event playlist will get you the Heavy Metal title.

However, as with all other previous titles, you’ll need to complete a few specific triumphs throughout your time playing Heavy Metal to earn the associated title. In this guide, we’ll explain exactly how you can earn the Heavy Metal title in Destiny 2 in just a few hours.

You’ll have to achieve four triumphs to unlock the Heavy Metal title. The following is a list of the triumphs:

Kill Streak

You earn this triumph by achieving multiple kills in one life at least 20 times. So, try to kill at least two enemies before dying every time. If you kill more in a life, that’ll count toward your ultimate goal too. Make sure to collect Tokens dropped by enemies to heal, as that’s the only way to gain back some of your lost HP in this playlist.

Vehicle Compactor

You will need to destroy at least 150 enemy vehicles while playing the Heavy Metal playlist. Keep in mind that the final blow that defeats the enemy vehicle must come from you for it to count.

The Undefeated

For this Triumph, you just have to win at least 10 games of Heavy Metal while the event is active. You shouldn’t have too much difficulty winning, especially if you have proper coordination with your squad.

I Get What I Want

For this one, you’ll have to complete the Event Track. Simply go through Heavy Metal matches and finish any challenges that you see listed in the Heavy Metal event page. Completing Daily and Weekly challenges is the best way to make progression in the Event Track and ultimately finish it before the current event comes to an end.

As you can see, the four triumphs associated with the Heavy Metal title in Destiny 2 shouldn’t take you too long to achieve. Keep playing Heavy Metal matches for a few hours, and you should be able to unlock the titular title for this event.
