Hezen Vengeance is a solar aggressive frame rocket launcher introduced in the Vault of Glass reprised Raid during Season of the Splicer. The weapons were later updated to be craftable with new perk pools during Episode Heresy. Rocket Launchers are a very popular option for both PvE and PvP for their ease of use and high damage output. Aggressive frame rocket launchers are among the best rocket launchers in the game do to their high damage output compared to other archetypes. Hezen Vengeance is craftable and has an Adept version, referred to as Timelost for Vault of Glass weapons, that can be enhanced. In this guide, we will discuss the PvE and PvP god rolls and how to get the Hezen Vengeance rocket launcher.
How to Get Hezen Vengeance in Destiny 2
You obtain the Hezen Vengeance from the Vault of Glass raid found in the Legends activity node. Specifically, it can drop from the 4th encounter, Gatekeeper, or the final encounter, Atheon. In order to get the Hezen Vengeance (Timelost), you must complete the Strangers in Time challenge in the master version of Vault of Glass. Once earned, the standard version of Hezen Vengeance can be found in the hidden chest found throughout the raid and purchased at the end of raid chest after defeating Atheon. The Timelost version can be bought at the end of raid chest in the master version of the raid, provided the player has already earned the weapon once by completing the challenge.
A guaranteed Deepsight weapon can be earned if you complete the quest Fated Deepsight that is available at the Clan Vendor, Suraya Hawthorne, at the Tower Bazaar. Another Deepsight weapon is guaranteed to be available at the end of raid chest for your first purchase. Note that any weapons you purchase at the chest cannot have a Deepsight Harmonizer activated on them.

What Is the Hezen Vengeance God Roll in Destiny 2?
The Hezen Vengeance PvE god roll is one that most players will want to grab as soon as they can. It has two of the best traits you can get on rocket launchers in Column 3 and Column 4 for PvE, Envious Arsenal and Elemental Honing, as well as some great other options to boot. While extremely viable for PvE, the Hezen Vengeance lacks anything special for a PvP god roll, so it’s not really worth farming or crafting a PvP version of the weapon unless you lack a solid PvP rocket.

PvE Hezen Vengeance God Roll
The best perks for the Hezen Vengeance PvE God Roll are Quick Launch, Impact Casing, Envious Arsenal, and Elemental Honing. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.
The following list is the best perks for the Hezen Vengeance PvE God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Launcher Barrel: Quick Launch
- Magazine: Impact Casing
- Column 3 Trait: Envious Arsenal
- Column 4 Trait: Elemental Honing
- Masterwork: Handling
- Origin Trait: Timelost Arsenal
- Weapon Mod: Quick Access Sling
PvE Breakdown
With its update during Episode Heresy, the Hezen Vengeance went from a decent mid-tier rocket launcher to easily the best damage-dealing rocket launcher in the game. As with most rocket launchers we want to take Quick Launch and a Handling masterwork to improve the weapons handling as much as possible. You can increase its draw speed further by placing a Quick Access Sling Mod on the weapon. A Tactical or Adept Handling mod will also work. The Impact Casing magazine trait is still best in slot as it is one of the few minor traits in the game that directly raises damage.
As an aggressive frame rocket launcher, the Hezen Vengeance has the highest damage output by default for rocket launchers at base. Combining that with the powerful column 3 and 4 traits on this weapon makes it a must-have for any rocket launcher user looking to deal the maximum amount of damage possible. Envious Arsenal has quickly become the premier reloading trait for boss damage rotations since it quickly reloads the weapon just for firing off the other two weapons you are using at the target. This allows for basically no downtime during damage rotations. Combine that with the trait introduced in Episode Heresy, Elemental Honing, which allows for high damage potential for dealing damage with multiple elements. Hitting an enemy with 4 or 5 different elements provides the highest damage increase of all traits other than Surrounded. If your build or loadout does not allow you to hit with at least 4 elements during a damage phase, opt for Bait and Switch instead.

PvP Hezen Vengeance God Roll
The best perks for the Hezen Vengeance PvP God Roll are Volatile Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Impulse Amplifier, and Vorpal Weapon. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.
The following list is the best perks for the Hezen Vengeance PvP God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Barrel: Volatile Launch
- Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
- Column 3 Trait: Impulse Amplifier
- Column 4 Trait: Vorpal Weapon
- Masterwork: Blast Radius
- Origin Trait: Timelost Magazine
- Weapon Mod: Aerodynamics
PvP Breakdown
While an absolute powerhouse in PvE, the Hezen Vengeance lacks all but the most basic PvP traits for a rocket launcher. It comes with the standard traits for its barrel and magazine. Volatile Launch and High-Velocity Rounds give help round out its velocity and blast radius stats. A Blast Radius master work and an Aerodynamics mod further balance it as well. This combination of minor traits is pretty standard to aggressive frame rockets in PvP.
The Hezen Vengeance’s primary traits leave a lot to be desired for a good PvP rocket launcher. While Column 3 does come with the always helpful Impulse Amplifier, Column 4 lacks any truly great PvP options. Of those options, Vorpal Weapon is the easiest to use as it will just help take out guardians in their supers a bit easier. Everything else is completely useless or just way too situational to be of any use. Overall, we suggest leaving this rocket out of PvP and saving it for PvE instead.
