Why You Should Get the Last Man Standing Shotgun

Last man Standing is a very good shotgun for those that like playing close quarters. This weapon has perks that allows it to gain damage on kill and be able to keep shooting without reloading making it very strong for PvE. Shotguns have always been great in PvP and this one has perks that allow you to be accurate when firing from the hip and allows for increased ready and stow speed. Ready and stow speed means how fast you can switch to the weapon and how fast you can switch off this weapon. In a fast paced PvP environment you are going to need this weapon.

How to get Last Man Standing in Destiny 2

To get Last Man Standing in Destiny 2, players will need to own Season of the Deep and complete the introductory mission. After this players should complete the first few steps of the “Into the Deep” Mission and that will unlock the Tackle Box to allow for fishing. Reckoning Weapons can be earned by fishing and turning in the fish caught at the HELM.

You can also focus the Deep Engrams that you earn at the Sonar Station found in the HELM as well if you have the Deep Weapon Focusing Sonar Station Upgrade. The upgrades and how to unlock them are found in the Seasonal challenges menu. Once you have earned a weapon and unlocked it in your collections, provided you have the upgrade, you can focus that specific weapon from the Deep Engram Decoding menu at the Sonar Station.

PvE Last Man Standing God Roll

Barrel: For our barrel we are going to go with Smoothbore. This barrel increases the spread of the shot gone but adds +15 range. In PvE having increased pellet spread is not an issue since most enemies tend to be larger and bigger than players.

Magazine: In our magazine slot we want to use Assault Mag. This Magazine increases the rate of fire of our gun. If you combine Assault Mag with the Aggressive Frame archetype that is This shotgun you will be shooting very fast with every kill.

Column 3 Trait: We want to have Subsistence in this spot. Subsistence is a very strong perk in PvE defeating targets partially reloads the magazine from reserves. This helps with keeping our increased rate of fire from our shotgun intrinsic.

Column 4 Trait: For our last spot we want to have Rampage here. The trait Rampage does this: Kills with this weapon temporarily grant increased damage. Stacks 3x. This is very strong for what we want. You get to shoot faster with every kill passively , You do not need to reload so long as you have reserves thanks to Subsistence, and you gain stacking bonus damage with every kill all thanks to rampage.

Origin Trait: Picking up ammunition increases this weapon’s flinch resistance and range, which lasts until it is fired again.

Masterwork: We want to have Range master work so we can do more damage at long ranges.

Mods: We will be using major spec in this spot. Major spec increases damage against orange health enemies and champions.

Conclusion: This is a very strong shotgun for PvE. You gain a lot of benefits for just getting kills. The one drawback to this gun is you need to play close range and some enemies in PvE can Knock you back. If you find yourself getting knocked around a lot make sure to melee as soon as the enemy is done with their attack animation. The lunge you get will keep you in place. Consider using this strategy when using this weapon.

Barrel: For our barrel we will be using Corkscrew Rifling. This barrel adds range, stability, and handling. The increased range will help with the damage falloff of this weapon. The increased handling allows you to switch to the weapon faster.

Magazine: In our magazine slot we want to have Accurized Rounds. Accurized Rounds will give a huge boost to our range stat and will allow us to shoot at longer ranges.

Column 3 Trait: We want to use Hip-Fire Grip here. Hip-Fire Grip will give you Increases accuracy, stability, and precision hit targeting when firing from the hip. This helps us because sometime you will not have enough time to ADS with a shotgun and this will help you land most if not all the pellets.

Column 4 Trait: For our last trait we want to use Shot Swap. This trait is very strong since in PvP you start with a small amount of special ammo. Final blows build and store charges which allow you to swap and stow this weapon at a faster rate. This is very good for when you get a kill with your shotgun you get to quickly swap out of it and use your other weapons.

Origin Trait: Picking up ammunition increases this weapon’s flinch resistance and range, which lasts until it is fired again.

Masterwork: We want to have Range master work so we can do more damage at long ranges.

Mods: We will be using Freehand Grip in this spot. Freehand Grip decreases Hipfire Accuracy Cone Size. This mod does stack with Hip-fire Grip.

Conclusion: This is a very good shotgun for PvP do to its range and playstyle. This weapon is meant to be used in close quarters having alot of hip-fire accuracy will help you get kills when you have no time to aim. This weapon also is very fast with its ready and stow speed which will allow you to quickly switch to it when you need it.
