The Luna Regolith III is an Aggressive Frame Solar Sniper Rifle introduced in Season of the Witch that can be obtained from any Vanguard playlist. Sniper Rifles are great options for PvE and PvP. They do decent damage to bosses in long range situations in PvE. They are a favorite in PvP allowing for one shot kills, provided you can hit your headshots.

How to Obtain the Luna Regolith III in Destiny 2
Luna Regolith III can be obtained from any Vanguard reward source. This includes end of activity rewards in any Vanguard Playlist, Commander Zavala’s Weekly Challenge, and turning in Vanguard Engrams. Once the weapon has been earned you can focus it at Commander Zavala for Vanguard Engrams, Glimmer, and Legendary Shards.

The Luna Regolith has decent stats across the board, but suffers in the way most Aggressive Frame snipers do. Arrowhead Brake on the barrel helps with most of its short falls. For this god roll, we really want Appended Mag to get the most out of sniper rifle as it pairs really well with a Back-up Mag mod and Triple Tap. For our masterwork Handling is the best choice with Range or Reload Speed also being good.
Like most sniper rifles the best PvE combo if its available in most situations is Triple Tap and Firing Line. This gets us the largest damage boost we can while also getting more rounds down range doing even more burst damage. In solo content, the new perks High Ground or Precision Instrument are good choices instead of Firing Line.
Overall, this sniper rifle is just as good as any other aggressive frame sniper rifle. If you need a good Solar Sniper, this is a fantastic option to have.

The Luna Regolith III can get a nearly perfect range stat for extra crispy shots in PvP. Any barrel that increases Range or Handling is gonna do great for this weapon. For our magazine perk, Accurized Rounds is still one of the better perks for PvP in almost all cases. For the masterwork again prioritize Range and Handling in order to improve this weapons quick scope capabilities.
Snipers still do best with perks like Snapshot Sights and Opening Shot. Other perks like Keep Away, Quickdraw, and Surplus are still good as well. Column 4 also offers Moving Target which is a decent option. Overall, this weapon just has a great perk pool, but its just so large its best to be flexible with what roll you are chasing.
Aggressive Frames aren’t the most popular PvP sniper rifles but the Luna Regolith III is a good option in general.
