Destiny 2 Maahes HC4 God Roll Guide

Maahes HC4 is a void heavy burst frame hand cannon introduced into the world loot pool during Episode Echoes. Hand cannons are favorite weapons in Destiny 2 for their hard-hitting feel in almost all content in the game. Heavy burst frames have found their own niche as boss damage weapons when paired with the Lucky Pants exotic weapon. The Maahes HC4 can be enhanced, granting it access to enhanced perks in Columns 3 and 4. In this guide, we will discuss the PvE and PvP god rolls and how to get the Maahes HC4 hand cannon.

How to Get Maahes HC4 in Destiny 2

You obtain the Maahes HC4 from any Legendary engram source, Banshee-44, or from Legendary Lost Sectors. Legendary Lost Sectors rotate daily and the available weapons also rotate with them. As a world drop weapon, the Maahes HC4 can be awarded from any reward source that does not pull from any direct playlist loot pool.

What Is the Maahes HC4 God Roll in Destiny 2?

A god roll is the best combination of perks and masterwork that a weapon can get. God rolls are often sought after as they are considered the ultimate drop of that weapon and the most effective roll used in most content. In most situations, there are two god rolls for any gun, a roll for PvE and one for PvP. Unfortunately for the Maahes HC4, the hand cannon doesn’t have the normal powerful god roll that heavy burst frames are known for. The weapon does get a decent void synergy god roll for PvE though. The archetype isn’t typically great for PvP use, but the Maahes HC4 does have some decent rolls for the Crucible.

The best perks for the Maahes HC4 PvE God Roll are Fluted Barrel, Appended Mag, Repulsor Brace, and Destabilizing Rounds. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

The following list is the best perks for the Maahes HC4 PvE God Roll in Destiny 2:

  • Barrel: Fluted Barrel
  • Magazine: Appended Mag
  • Column 3 Trait: Repulsor Brace
  • Column 4 Trait: Destabilizing Rounds
  • Masterwork: Reload Speed
  • Origin Trait: Omolon Fluid Dynamics
  • Weapon Mod: Heavy Ammo Finder Enhancement

PvE Breakdown

Heavy burst frame hand cannons normally fit into a very specific niche of the Destiny sandbox in PvE acting as a boss damage primary weapon that many other weapons can’t fill. Unfortunately for the Maahes, it doesn’t get any traits that help it fit this role. Instead, it does function as a decent void synergy hand cannon. Fluted Barrel will increase the handling and stability stats of the weapon by a decent amount, while Appended Mag will add 4 extra bullets into the magazine. Heavy burst frames like the Maahes have really bad Reload Speed stats, so that particular masterwork really helps the weapon.

The Maahes HC4 comes with the standard void synergy set of of traits in Columns 3 and 4. Repulsor Brace will grant you a void over shield every time you kill a void-debuffed enemy. This pairs perfectly with the other void trait, Destabilizing Rounds, which will cause nearby enemies to become volatile on kills. This means that you will constantly be debuffing enemies with volatile which in turn can be used to fuel an overshield. Overall, this isn’t the perfect use case for the Maahes HC4, but it does make do since it lacks the standard options for Heavy Burst frame hand cannons.

PvP Maahes HC4 God Roll

The best perks for the Maahes HC4 PvP God Roll are Hammer-forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds, Perpetual Motion, and Swashbuckler. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

The following list is the best perks for the Maahes HC4 PvP God Roll in Destiny 2:

  • Barrel: Hammer-forged Rifling
  • Magazine: Accurized Rounds
  • Column 3 Trait: Perpetual Motion
  • Column 4 Trait: Swashbuckler
  • Masterwork: Range
  • Origin Trait: Omolon Fluid Dynamics
  • Weapon Mod: Ballistics

PvP Breakdown

While it may lack the thing that makes the heavy burst frame hand cannons amazing in PvE, the Maahes HC4 is looking to be one of the better options for the frame in PvP. It has some very powerful perks that can lower its Time-to-Kill to very competitive levels, even if you do have to play with it differently than most hand cannons. The Maahes HC4 can have an incredible range with the right perks and masterwork. They are all standard fair for PvP weapons: Hammer-forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds, and a Range masterwork. These traits can get the damage falloff range of the hand cannon to a very competitive 36 meters.

Column 3 on the hand cannon has a couple good options with Rapid Hit and Perpetual Motion. Both are solid options with Perpetual motion just edging out Rapid Hit on account of headshots being slightly harder to hit with the burst-firing hand cannon. Column 4 is loaded with great TtK boosting traits such as Golden Tricorn and Frenzy. Swashbuckler is the best of the bunch as it is easy to activate and gets the TtK of the weapon down to a respectable half of a second.
