Psi Hermetic V PvE God Roll

Our choices for the Psi Hermetic V PvE God Roll are:

ColumnTrait
BarrelArrowhead Brake
MagazineFlared Magwell
Column 3 TraitEnlightened Action
Column 4 TraitHeadstone
MasterworkReload Speed

High-Impact Frames aren’t particularly meta in PvE, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t effective. Psi Hermetic seems to be the archetype of that type of weapon: good, but not the best. Arrowhead Brake and Flared Magwell help with the weapons lower handling and reload speed, but honestly the barrel and magazine perks don’t matter too much. Masterworks fall into that same category.

In Columns 3 and 4, there are actually quite a few great perks. In fact, you would be hard pressed to find a bad combination here. Each combo has great usage but the most unique one is any with Headstone to allow this weapon to synergize well with a Stasis build. But honestly this is a just a great weapon no matter what you get.

Despite its great perk pool, Psi Hermetic is good at everything and great at nothing and that’s its problem. Its a fine weapon, but you are gonna outgrow it very quickly.

Other great pulse rifles to substitute for this weapon in PvE include:

  • Chattering Bone, from the Last Wish raid
  • Phyllotactic Spiral, from activities on Neomuna

Psi Hermetic V PvP God Roll

Our choices for the Psi Hermetic V PvP God Roll are:

ColumnTrait
BarrelHammer-Forged Rifling
MagazineAccurized Rounds
Column 3 TraitOutlaw
Column 4 TraitKill Clip
MasterworkRange

High-Impacts can be really strong in PvP due to their lower Time to Kill. They do great in mid to far ranges but their slow fire rate gets them in trouble in situations when someone gets the jump on you. The best perks are any the increase the weapons range and that applies to its masterwork as well. Just avoid things that slow down reload speed.

The best perks combination for this weapon is the old school wombo combo: Outlaw and Kill Clip. They just synergize so well together. But there are still a lot of other great options for this weapon. Column 3 also has Moving Target and Heating Up. Column 4 offers Headseeker, Golden Tricorn, and Perpetual Motion. Like in PvE, there are just a lot of good options.

All of that being said, it suffers from the same Jack of All Trades, Master of None problem in PvP that it does in PvE. But if you get a good roll and enjoy High-Impact frames this gun could carry you for awhile.

Other great pulse rifles to substitute for this weapon in PvP include:

  • Chattering Bone, from the Last Wish raid
  • Phyllotactic Spiral, from activities on Neomuna
  • BxR Battler, from Dares of Eternity
