Learn the Destiny 2 Retrofuturist shotgun god roll for PvE and PvP content, the best perks, and how to get it!
Retrofuturist is a Lightweight Frame Void Shotgun introduced in the Crucible playlist during Season of the Wish. An easy to acquire weapon with a large perk pool with some decent PvP options. I wouldn’t touch this thing for PvE though.

The Retrofuturist is unfortunately just not a great weapon. Its only saving grace is that it is the only void element shotgun of its archetype. It has decent PvP options, but I wouldn’t go for this one for PvE.
Retrofuturist PvE God Roll
Our best perks choices for the Retrofuturist PvE God Roll are:

The Retrofuturist is unfortunately just not a great PvE option. Like most Shotguns, Smallbore and Assault Mag are typically your best option. A Range or Handling masterwork will be the best bet there.
For the main perks, Dual Loader or Feeding Frenzy are good options for PvE. Column 4 gives us Trench Barrel or Frenzy. There are some other options or combinations, but almost every other shotgun in the game can do them better. I don’t recommend this weapon for PvE at all.

Our best perks choices for the Retrofuturist PvP God Roll are:

Our shotgun does much better perk-wise in PvP than PvE. Smallbore is still the way to go for the barrel, but an argument could be made for Accurized Rounds over Assualt Mag for PvP. It comes down to preference.
Retrofuturist rolls with Quickdraw and Snapshot Sights, which is the best overall roll. There are some other options to opt into like Slickdraw or Stats for All, but they are less dependable. This weapon can perform in PvP, but again there are better options.
How to Get the Retrofuturist in Destiny 2
Retrofuturist can be obtained from any Crucible reward source. This includes end-of-match rewards in any Crucible Playlist (including Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris), Lord Shaxx’s Weekly Challenge, and turning in Crucible Engrams. Once the weapon has been earned you can focus it at Lord Shaxx for Crucible Engrams and Glimmer.
