Welcome to our Destiny 2 Submission and How to Get guide. The Submission is a kinetic lightweight frame submachine gun launched with the release of the Vow of Disciple raid. This submachine gun comes with some fantastic perks on a very strong weapon archetype. Submachine guns are a staple in PVE due to their high damage and fire rate. In PVP, they have decent range with lightning fast time to kill making them very strong if you are within their usage distance.

How to Obtain Submission
Submission is obtained in the Vow of Disciple raid from the Witch Queen Expansion. Specifically it has a chance to drop from the the first, second, and third encounters. Once acquired for the first time, it has a chance to drop from the two hidden chest as well. Every drop has a chance to drop with Deepsight Resonance, which can be extracted to unlock the pattern for crafting the weapon. After the final encounter, Rhulk’s Glaive can be interacted with to focus the weapon with Spoils of Conquest provided the weapon has been obtained before and unlocked in collections. Once per week, the first weapon focused this way will have guaranteed Deepsight Resonance.
PVE Submission God Roll
The following list includes all Destiny 2 Submission God Roll traits for PVE
Barrel | Smallbore |
Magazine | Appended Mag |
Perk 1 | Overflow |
Perk 2 | Frenzy |
Origin Trait | Souldrinker |
Masterwork | Range |
Mod | Minor Spec |
Barrel: For the barrel perk, we are going with Smallbore. This will give a boost in range and stability letting our weapon deal damage from farther and reducing our recoil.
Magazine: With the magazine we are going to improve the weapons base magazine by choosing Appended Mag. With our other perks this will allow us to have a large magazine ready for any engagement.
Column 3 Perk: Our third column choice is Overflow. Upon picking up an ammo brick whether special or heavy it will give you twice as many shots in your magazine. Giving us a large amount of ammo to fire without needing to reload.
Column 4 Perk: For our final column perk, Frenzy is the must have. This will give us a decent damage boost while maxing our reload and handling for simply being in combat. This is one of the best PVE perks on a primary in a game.
Masterwork: Range masterwork allows us to give a small boost in range letting us deal more damage from farther away. Since submachine guns have low base range, boosting this stat can be very beneficial.
Mod: Minor spec in our mod slot gives you increased damage to minor enemies. Since this weapon’s primary function is add clear, minor spec gives us a little extra damage to the enemies we are trying to kill with this weapon.
Conclusion: Submachine guns are insanely strong in PVE due to their faster fire rate and high damage. Whether it be patrol zones, raids, dungeons, or end game PVE you will be hard pressed to not find a usage. Being incredibly easy to use and with strong perks, Submission is a must have for any guardian’s arsenal.
PVP Submission God Roll
The following list includes all Destiny 2 Submission God Roll traits for PVP
Barrel | Full Bore |
Magazine | Accurized Rounds |
Perk 1 | Encore |
Perk 2 | Killing Wind |
Origin Trait | Souldrinker |
Masterwork | Range |
Mod | Targeting Adjuster |
Barrel: For the barrel perk, we are going with Full Bore. This gives a massive boost in our range at the cost of a little stability and handling.
Magazine: The magazine choice here is Accurized Rounds. This is the only range boosting magazine perk available on the weapon and since range is so important in PVP as it increases your falloff distance for damage, aim assist, and accuracy, it’s important we stack into the range stat.
Column 3 Perk: We are going with Encore. This gives a timed four times stacking bonus in range, stability, and accuracy cone upon getting kills. Precision kills give two stacks while regular give one, each kill refreshes your timer.
Column 4 Perk: For our final column perk, Killing Wind is the must have. Upon a kill, you get a timed massive boost in range, mobility, handling, and damage falloff distance.
Masterwork: Our obvious choice for masterwork is Range. Since submachine guns have a low base range, we want to build into this as much as possible.
Mod: Targeting Adjuster is a great choice here. This gives a small boost in your aim assist making your bullets more likely to hit the target.
Conclusion: Submachine guns are very powerful in PVP due to their fast time to kill and ease of use. One guardian with a submachine gun can ravage an entire battlefield with bullets, racking up large amounts of kills. Pairing a submachine gun with a long range special ammo weapon will let you cover both close and far range engagements.
