Why You Should Get the Until Its Return Shotgun

Until Its Return is one of the first Strand shotguns in the game making it unique to being able to work with a strand subclass build. This weapon has unique traits in PvE that allow it to shoot faster than normal. In PvP this shotgun has some great traits to kill Guardians in their roaming super. This weapon has a unique taken look making it very cool with pulsating dark energy.

How to get Until Its Return God Roll in Destiny 2

To get Until Its Return in Destiny 2, players will need to own Season of the Deep and complete the introductory mission. This will open up the Seasonal Playlists, both Scavenge and Deep Dives, which drop all of the Season of the Deep weapons, including Until Its Return. Both playlist have a chance to drop Until Its Return or another Deep weapon or Armor Piece. Both Scavenge and Deep Dive playlists are found on the HELM.

You can also focus the Deep Engrams that you earn at the Sonar Station found in the HELM as well if you have the Deep Weapon Focusing Upgrade. The Upgrades are found in the Seasonal Challenge Menu. Once unlocked you can focus specific weapons at the Sonar Station in the Deep Engram Decoding menu, provided you have earned them for your collections.

Column 3 Trait Overflow
Column 4 Trait Cascade Point
Origin Trait Unsated Hunger

Mod Major Spec
PvE Until Its Return God Roll

Barrel: In our Barrel we want to use Smoothbore. Smoothbore will increase the range of the weapon significantly. The more range a shotgun has the less damage falloff you will get.

Magazine: For your magazine, you want to use Tactical Mag. Tactical Mag increases the magazine by 1 and increases the reload speed slightly.

Column 3 Trait: In this trait slot you want to use Overflow. Overflow will double the magazine capacity when you pick up ammo for the gun. This will allow us to keep shooting our weapon.

Column 4 Trait: For our final trait we want to use Cascade Point. This trait will increase the rate of fire of this weapon when we use another weapon. To proc Cascade Point you need to get kills with other weapons than switch to your shotgun hold the trigger down because you will be shooting faster for a short time.

Origin Trait: Increased handling, reload speed, and stability when no abilities are fully charged. Swords gain increased guard resistance and charge rate instead.

Masterwork: For our masterwork we want to use Range. This will give us less damage falloff when we shoot at targets from a distance.

Mods: In your mod slot you want to use Major Spec. This increases the damage done to orange health enemies and Champions.

Conclusion: This shotgun is very good for PvE since it has an insane fire rate with cascade points. Adding overflow to this weapon will allow you to kill champions without having to reload often. Until Its Return can be crafted so you can potentially get this roll we have in our guide.

Column 3 Trait Offhand Strike
Column 4 Trait Vorpal Weapon
Origin Trait Unsated Hunger
Masterwork Range

PvP Until Its Return God Roll

Barrel: For your barrel we want to use Corkscrew Rifling. Corkscrew Rifling increases the range stability and handling of this weapon. Having a higher handling allows you to switch to this weapon faster making it good for swapping to this weapon when your other guns are empty.

Magazine: In your magazine slot you want to use Accurized Rounds. Accurized Rounds increase the Range of this weapon. This helps with killing enemies at range.

Column 3 Trait: For this trait you want Offhand Strike. This trait gives you more range when hip-firing after getting a kill. The range from this will help with killing enemies.

Column 4 Trait: For our final trait we want Vorpal Weapon. Vorpal Weapon will deal bonus damage to Guardians using their super. This helps with challenging enemies that want to run you down with their super.

Origin Trait: Increased handling, reload speed, and stability when no abilities are fully charged. Swords gain increased guard resistance and charge rate instead.

Masterwork: For our masterwork we want to use Range. This will give us less damage falloff when we shoot at targets from a distance.

Mods: In your mod slot we want Quick Access Sling. This will let us switch to this weapon faster.

Conclusion: This is a decent weapon for PvP. The Rapid-fire Frame shotguns are not the best for PvP since they lack one-shot potential. Still, this weapon has decent stats for a shotgun. Consider getting close when using this weapon since its range stat is not the best either.
